Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is the important cytokine in angiogenesis during wound healing process. Active substance in turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val) has anti inflammation effect and anti platelet activating factors as platelet aggregation intermediary associated with VEGF expression on wound. This research aimed to identify effect of turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val) on vascular endothelial growth factor expression on dog (Canine familiaris) skin incision wound. The right and left side of dogs flank is made up of three wounds incision until fascia layer with the length of wound incision is 6 cm. Distance between wound is 3 cm then wound sewn with cotton threads and given treatment namely control, fresh turmeric and turmeric powder. The application of turmeric is done twice in a day for one week. On the 3rd and 6th day, the skin tissue on wound is taken than made histology preparation for painting of imunohistokimia VEGF by used rabbit polyclonal antibody. Data taken by counting the inflammation cell that express VEGF protein which is brown color on membrane and cytoplasm cell by using microscope with 400 times magnification on five fields of view. The data analyzed use One Way ANOVA method continued by Tukey test. The result showed that giving turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val) effect on the expression of VEGF in incision wound of dogs skin (P < 0,05). The effect characterized by the average decrease of inflammation cell that express VEGF. On the 3rd day, the inflammation cells that express VEGF on fresh turmeric and turmeric powder lower than control. On the 6th day, the inflammation cell on fresh turmeric and turmeric powder is assumed to be lower than control

Dog is one of animal close to human and have been widely used as a pet. The objective of this study is to understand the binahong leaf treatment and the binahong leaf extract ointment which using 5% and 10% fraksi hexan extraction comparison againts physical slice wound in dog (Canis familiaris). In this study used four domestic female dog. Before study the doges were adapted for one week and given drontal an antihelminth drugs. the study was conducted by making incision wound is done 3 times (I, II and III) along 6cm on each dog at the right side of the abdomen in vertical fashion. a fresh binahong leaf, binahong leaf extract ointment which using 5% fraksi hexan extraction, and binahong leaf extract ointment which using 10% fraksi hexan extraction were given to incision wound group I, II, and III respectively. the observation on the wound healing progress were done visually with parameter of swellness, redness, wetness, and the link between the two wound's end. Observation results shows that in group I, the swelling unapparent in the fourth day, the redness unapparent in the third day, the wound also dried and closed in the third day. in group II the swelling and reddness unapparent in the fifth day, the wound dried and closed in the fourth day. meanwhile in group III the swelling and reddness unapparent in the fifth day, the wound dried and closed in the fourth day. The conclusion of this study that the scours binahong fresh leaf provide better wound healing effect physical than binahong leaf extract ointment which using 5% and 10% fraksi hexan extraction and all of scours showed to as primary healing of first intention in the seventh day

Turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val) is well known by Indonesian people as a usefull plant. Many researches has done to identify its pharmacological effects. Its pharmacological effect including anti-inflammatory properties. This research is to verify the anti-inflammatory effect of Curcuma domestica Val. The anti-inflammatory effect were evaluated by measuring the expression of protein Cyclooxigenase 2 (COX-2) at fibroblasts. The experimental study was conducted in the following manner. 4 male dogs about 8 months old were incised vertically in the flank. The wounds were grouped as A, B and C. As a control group (group A) were not given any medical preparation. While group B were given turmeric powder twice a day until 6 days. Group C were given fresh turmeric topically twice a day until 6 days. On day 3 and 6 skin tissue were taken and stained with Immunohystochemistry (IHC) staining. Antibody used in this staining is rabbit polyclonal anti COX-2. Expressions of protein COX-2 at fibroblast were counted and then analyzed with one way ANOVA and Tukey test method. The result showed that were significant difference between group control (group A) and group B and C (P < 0,05). Group A showed higher COX-2 expression than two other groups. On conclusion, Curcuma domestica Val has anti-inflammatory effect

The dog is often used as a pet animals domesticated house. Dogs often flight hyper while playing it is potentially wounds sustained in the dog. Binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steenis) is one of herbs widely used as a wound. The purpose of this research is to find out the effect the ointment binahong heksan extract a fraction of 5 % and 10 % in the process of healing wounds incision in the skin of a dog. This research using four dogs local female, that everybody is the same. one week after the dog they adapted and given a worm ivermectin. Such treatment of wounds incision with a lege artists around 2 artificial incision on the right side of the abdomen or paracostal along six centimeters with the vertical axis. Artificial incision the anterior part as a group A and B in the posterior part of the sort of anterior to posterior. In these studies, cuts the artificial incision to extract a ointment a wound smeared A binahong heksan 5 % of that fraction artificial incision and on a ointment a wound smeared B binahong heksan extract of 10 %. The wound is healing visually with the parameters of healing wounds is wound swelling, redness of the wound, the wetness and contact between the two edges of the wound. The results of studies show that uses ointment binahong heksan to extract a fraction of 5 % and 10 % for both physically and primary wound healing for six days. Conclude this research, there is no difference between the incision and the treatment of wounds A (ointment factions heksan extract binahong 5 %), the leaves as well as the treatment of the B (heksan extract a ointment binahong 10 %)

Dog (Canis familiaris) is a pet that should be given attention and outpouring of affection. Dogs may experience injury or wound. One of herbal that is widely used as wound medicine is binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steenis). The purpose of this research was to determine the microscopic description of fibroblast cells and leukocytes in the incision wound of dog skin who where treated white the ointment ethanol extract of binahong leaves concentration of 5% and 10% are microscopic. Four local female dogs used in this study. Prior research adapted to any dog for a few days and were given ivermectin worming. Making a incisionmade after adaptation is completed as much as 3 slices (A, B, and C) on each dog on the left side of the abdomen in the vertical direction. A incision of group A as the control, untreatment, a incision of group B was given the ointment binahong leaf extract 5% ethanol extraction and a incision of group C was given an ointment binahong leaf extract 10% ethanol extraction. On day 14 most of the wound healing tissue samples taken measuring 2x2 cm, then put into 10% formalin solution for histological examination. The tissue sample is sent to the Mikroanatomi Laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to made preparations for histology with Haematoxylin-Eosin staining (HE). Display leukocyte and fibroblast cells was calculated and analyzed using ANOVA test with significance level p < 0.05. Results of microscopic examination of fibroblast and leukocyte cell numbers in group B and group C less than in group A. Statistical analysis using ANOVA showed no significant difference between the control group and lubrication binahong leaf extract (5% and 10%). These results can be concluded that the description of the wound healing canine skin slices treated with the ointment of binahong leaves ethanol extract had healed
