PERFORMANS INDUK DAN PERTUMBUHAN PRASAPIH SAPI PERANAKAN ONGOLE DAN SAPI SILANGAN SIMMENTAL PERANAKAN ONGOLE DI KELOMPOK VILLAGE BREEDING CENTER DAN NON VILLAGE BREEDING CENTER DI DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA
The research aims to determine cow performance of Ongole Grade
(OG) and Simmental Ongole Crossbred Cattle (SOCC) in terms of feed
consumption, body condition score (BCS), post partum estrus (PPE) and
preweaning growth calf at village breeding center (VBC) compared non
village breeding center (NVBC) OG. This research was done on April until
December 2012 in 6 groups VBC (Sumber Ayu, Andhini Rahayu, Ngudi
Makmur I, Andhini Mulyo, Trimanunggal Lembusuro, Trihandini Rejo) vs 2
groups NVBC (Sedyo Makmur, Andhini). The material used are OG and
SOCC at VBC were 22 head
KADAR HORMON TESTOSTERON, LIBIDO, DAN KUALITAS SPERMA KAMBING BLIGON, KEJOBONG, DAN PERANAKAN ETAWAH
The aim of the study was to investigate the comparison and correlation among testosterone concentrations, libido, and sperm quality of Bligon, Kejobong, and Etawah cross-bred (PE) bucks at the similar of age, feed, and season. Samples used were 9 bucks (3 Bligon, 3 Kejobong, and 3 PE) in ±18 months of age. Testosterones was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. Libido observation were quantified at the first time to sniff, mount, and finally ejaculation. Sperm was collected by using artificial vagina, and correlation between testosterones, libido, and sperm quality was measured. Results showed that Kejobongs testosterone in the morning (12.00±6.56 ng/ml) was significantly different with PE (6.82±4.18 ng/ml) (P0.05), whereas Bligons testosterone in the morning (9.23±4.73 ng/ml) was similar with Kejobong and PE. The best time of Kejobongs libido was in the morning (6.77±5.9
PENGARUH PAKAN BERBASIS PRODUK KETELA POHON TERHADAP KINERJA REPRODUKSI (PADA PEMBERIAN SECARA FLUSHING) DAN KINERJA PRODUKSI KAMBING KEJOBONG
2. 0
The purpose of this experiment was to evaluate the reproduction and
production performance of Kejobong goats throuh usage of feed bases on the
cassava products by stressing on the hormone concentration and profile on pre
and post mating and of the role of calpain and calpastatin activities in meat
tenderness. Does were 2.50 to 3 years of old with the average of initial live
weight was 26.6 kg 1.71kg as many as 20 heads to be used for studying of the
reproduction and productivity performance. Does were 0 2.50 years of old
with the average of initial live weight was 23.80 24.20kg as much as 20 heads
to be utilized for investigating on the activity of calpain and calpastatin of meat.
All animals were randomly assigned into two treatments, namely: non-flushing
and flushing. Both treatments were each repeated 10 times. Composition and
nutrient content of the two treatments, namely: non-flushing: 48.84% grasses,
30.23% cassava leaves, and 20.93% Glyrisidae immaculata (9.7% C
KADAR HORMON ESTROGEN DAN PROGESTERON PADA KAMBING BLIGON YANG DIBERI PAKAN DAUN PEPAYA
This research was aimed to study estrogen and progesterone hormone
levels in Bligon goat given papaya leaves and to study its effect the differences
sign of estrus. The materials used 12 does Bligon goat and one male Bligon goat,
aged six to seven month. From 12 Bligon goat were divided into three groups

PENGARUH BANGSA TERHADAP KINERJA REPRODUKSI INDUK SAPI POTONG DI KABUPATEN BLITAR
The aim of this research was to determine the effect of cows breed
in performance at small-holder cattle farm in 4 regions from 150
respondent in Blitar, such as Talun, Srengat, Ponggok and Udanawu
regency. The research was conducted in October 2013. This research was
carried out by survey method to get primary and secondary data. The
variables were respondents identity, respondents experience, first age
mating, first mating age, post partum mating, post partum estrus, service
per conception, conception rate, non return rate and calving interval. The
data was tabulated and counted for average, standard deviation and
percentage. The data was analyzed by a Completely Radomized Design
(CRD) One Way Classification and if the result is significant its continue
with Duncan test. The result showed that average of maerial performance
PO, SIMPO, LIMPO and BX manner to fist mating age (month) 23.82±4.3,
24.36±5.06, 19.18±3.75, 21.85±4.1
PENGARUH SINKRONISASI BIRAHI MENGGUNAKAN PGF2α TERHADAP RESPON, TINGKAH LAKU, SIKLUS BIRAHI, DAN PROFIL HORMON ESTROGEN SAPI BALI (Bos sondaicus) DI KEBUN PENDIDIKAN, PENELITIAN, DAN PENGEMBANGAN PERTANIAN UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA
The aim of the study was to investigate response, behaviour, cycle of estrous and profile estrogen hormone of bali cattle (Bos sondaicus) were synchronized by PGF2α. Material samples were 9 Bali cattle at ±3 years of age and the rate of weight were 313,67±20,66 kg. Research method such a
PERBEDAAN KUANTITAS DAN KUALITAS SPERMA ANTARA AYAM KETAWA DAN AYAM PELUNG PADA PENAMPUNGAN SPERMA PAGI DAN SORE HARI
This study aims to compare the quantity and quality fresh sperm in
the morning collection and afternoon collection of Ketawa chicken and
Pelung chicken. Used six chickens aged ± 24 weeks consisting of 3
Ketawa chickens and 3 Pelung chickens. Collection of sperm for each
chicken was done 10 times with a frequency of 2 times a week, using the
massage method. Macroscopic examination of sperm include volume,
color and odor, consistency and pH, whereas microscopic examination
include motility, viability, abnormality, and the concentration of
spermatozoa. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance using a
completely randomized design with a types x time of sperm collection
factorial pattern. The results showed no difference in odor, color,
consistency on both types of cock and sperm at different the morning
collection and the afternoon collection. Types of chickens were Ketawa
chicken and Pelung chicken had significant effect (P0,05) with volume at
0,172±0,107 ml, had 7,500±0,853 and 6,960±0,929 pH and consentration
in 1,858±1,658.109/ml and 2,803±1,517.109/ml. Types of chicken and time
of sperm collection had significant (P<0.05) with motility of spermatozoa in
78,833±15,574% and 62±25,834%. Time of collection had significant
effect to viability of spermatozoa in 58,957±13,489% and 48,059±7,722%.
In the volume, pH, sperm viability and concentration there were no
interaction between type of chicken and time of collection, but it had in
sperm of motility. From these results it could be concluded that the Pelung
chicken had quantity and quality of sperm were better than Ketawa
chicken , while for the quantity and quality of the sperm with afternoon
collecting better than the morning, there were no interaction between types
of chicken and time of sperm collection.
