Patterns of management or management of dairy cattle feed have major influence on the quantity of milk production of dairy cows. The purpose of this fieldwork (PKL) is to know the feeding management of dairy cows actually in UPTD-BPBPTDK Special Region of Yogyakarta, it was started from the calf period, virgin period, pregnant period or dry cow and lactation period. This observation include feedstuffs, feeding method and analysis of feeding for dairy cows. The method of data collection that determine feed management in dairy cows is by following practice directly, collecting data by interview with local farm employees and observation of feed material directly. The result of observation is founding that type of feed is forage crops and concentrates. Concentrate was given twice a day before milking at 5 a.m and at 12 p.m. Forage crops were given after milking at 9 a.m and 2 p.m. A number of delivery feed are varies depend on age and condition of livestock. Calf off the cow was given as much as 1-1,5 kg of concentrates per cow per day and forage crops 1 kg (trained) and then can be improved. Concentrates for virgin cow is 4 kg per cow per day and average of forages crops is 20 kg per cow per day. Then, for lactating cows and dry cows or pregnant cow have concentrate doses is 6 kg per cow per day and average of forage crops is 30 kg per cow per day. Based on analysis of the content of feed ration that was used for dairy cows and production of dairy cows is still not adequate for overall dairy cows in UPTD-BPBPTDK. The content of crude protein (PK), calcium (Ca) and TDNs energy in ration of each cows age and weight has not been enough to get standard requirements. Based on the data, it can be concluded that management of feed for dairy cows in Office Technical Unit=Development Center of Seed, Feed and Veterinary Diagnostics (UPTD-BPBPTDK) Special Region of Yogyakarta is good enough
