    Online catalog (OPAC) is the library catalog system that uses computers. This catalog provides a collection of bibliographic information. Catalog are usually designed to simplify the user. In general, search service available in the library catalog system based on the index. Index information is returned only the information that meets the properties represented by the metadata. This technique exploits only syntatic word, so that irrelevant information is returned, the results are usually not fulfill what is expected. In this research make a prototype library catalog search application on based semantic web technologies. Semantic technology enables describing objects and repositories in the form of ontology. Ontology representing knowledge at the level of semantics because semantic ontology contains entities (concept, relation, and instance) instead of words. This application is built using the approach NLP (Natural Language Processing) is used to process the sentences as a keyword search and SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organization System) approach to represent the semantics between resources. SKOS approach can help to represent and organize vocabulary. SKOS effectively used as on of semantic-based approach because it provide a modelling structure for equivalent word vocabulary (thesauri), which allows a document can be linked to other documents, so that the document no longer stand alone but rather a document that has a mutual relation. From some combination of semantic web technologies NLP above are able to provide search results to users with richer information presented. This application provided a service to perform conversion of data in a relational database format of MySQL database into a knowledge base (ontology), making it easier to update the existing data in the system

    School operational assistance fund (BOS) is a government program that aims to help society in financial education for 9 year high qualtiy compulsory education. Currently the data report of the BOS funds in the education office in Aceh province are still using the manual way and education department� officers who responsible of this have problem to fulfill data request and transparent information from the parties in need. This research construct a system that capable of managing funding information system (BOS) which web services as service providers in each education departmen office in province aceh. This system is also capable to perform transaction for data distribution of BOS funding from education department ofprovince to education department of district/city and vice versa using implementation of REST web services with based on JSON reprentation of data exchange and communicate through standard protocol HTTP network which can make easier to provide transparent information. The result of this study indicate that the web service that is built for system information funds can serve as service providers that can support the service requester and can be run with system requirements. The system also ensures consistency of data that is distributed with the destination host to check each transaction data, if one of the destination host is not available then the transaction can not be done (all or nothing)

    To enhance an e-learning system become a system with e-learning SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) standard requiring the development on the content and its environment. Many e-learning systems owned by various institutions today still doesn�t based on SCORM . This study aims to realize an e-learning system that has a SCORM standard, especially on its content so that later can be integrated into a variety of LMS (Learning Management Systems) or e-learning system that already supports SCORM. The method used in this study is making the content of the materials, assignments, questions and then change them into SCORM standard. The contents then uploaded into the system. SCORM-based content creation is using open source tools. Testing is done by download the contents that already in SCORMbased and integrate them into LMS. LMS used in testing is Dokeos and Moodle. Conclusion obtained from this study is that a SCORM-based content requires a wrapper which is part of the API that serves to wrap the content to be implemented in an LMS that supports SCORM. A SCORM-based content that comes with a file sharable content object that serves to handle actions that occur when content is run in the LMS. SCORM-based content packages generated in the form of zip file extension, this content can be added to the resource in other elearning systems that already have SCORM standard

    OwnCloud is an open source software to perform data storage on a server. OwnCloud gives a solution for computer users to perform data storage in a simple and flexible way. It`s flexible ability is provided through easy data access, either via the web, desktop, and mobile device owned by the user. Unfortunately, utilization of the server as a storage medium raises a challenge to be faced. Errors or damage to the server resulting in loss of data owndeb by the user would be crucial issue. This raises the need to perform backup on a secure storage medium, scalable, and reliable in order to ensure the availability of data. Cloud storage overcome these problems by providing a secure storage architecture and scalable with pay-per-use method. The presence of Google Drive as a cloud-based storage media enables the development to perform data backup process. In this study developed a module on ownCloud software to perform synchronizing data between server where ownCloud runs with Google Drive for purpose of backup process. Data synchronization method use an one-way synchronization. Implementaiotn and testing result of this module prove that the module can perform the upload, deletion, moving, rename and synchronization of data between ownCloud and Google Drive. There is a linear relationship between time of synchronization operation and increasing the size of the data transferred in the range of 1 � 60 MB

    Personnel management information system is an integral part of very important in the management of information systems at several organizations, especially government organizations. information systems management personnel are well managed will provide contributions for local governments and relevant institutions in regulating and managing the resources owned by Local Government. Delegation of authority from central institutions to the sub-institutions other in terms of utilization of personnel management information system requires a standardization of the data processing mechanism distributed to each institution involved. Implementation distributed data model using the concept of asynchronous replication can help each institution to process data in accordance with the functions and authority and still maintain control functions provided by central institutions. Besides, web services developed to give opportunities to external Government Area to be able to use existing data. The distribution of the data processing personnel are adjusted with authority in this case is the department of Regional Personnel, Education Department and Health Department will increase local autonomy in the data processing personnel

    Sockets ability to transfer data between application that work on the low level communication was expected to be implemented in a distributed database system. Some of the reasons for building a distributed database was data sharing, reliability, availability, and query processing speed. With these considerations, both government agencies and private sector became interested to use distributed systems to manage their job at the office. It is used as a reason to build an automated KGB system of Infokom Department in Province of Moluccas. Furthermore, there was no computerized system to handle this system before. Because of it was a critical or important system, then it was requires to build a system that has a fault tolerant capability. The system architecture was built by client server method using sockets as middleware in the process of network communicaton. The system method was used full replica, and used file replication using a group to ensure data consistency. The SQL Statement was sent by the client would be converted into an XML format which then would be distributed to the server using a socket. Data redundancy model and process redundancy model managed by socket middleware. The results of this research was a middleware application using socket that handle the distribution of databases from web client applications to database server that were implemented on a periodic system of automatic salary increases in the Office of Information and Communication in Province of Moluccas

    Today Web technology allow web visitor to interact fully to web based system. The interaction accessibility development aims to make it more attractive and make visitor easier in system usage. One of advantages of web based application is easiness in accessing data that not limited to place and time, while its disadvantage is waiting time for processing user request, so more time process in web application called then required waiting time is more. It is different from desktop based application that require application installation in computer used to access data, however, it has advantage in execution process of real�time instruction, without requiring data access waiting time to server. This research has succeeded in applying RIA technology to build web with instruction response capability same as desktop application in case study of cellular phone reservation. Built system included catalog presentation, filterization, comparation, shopping basket and reservation process. Built application consisted of some layers including data alter as reservation system data storage, presentation later to present product and control layer to manage instruction response

    A fault tolerant system is a system that has the ability to be able to continue its jobs properly although there is a fault in hardware or software of the system. A system that has a fault tolerant capability is usually critical or important system. For example is at Point Of Sale application. Point Of Sale Application has evolved from offline-based toward online-based. With an online-based, the existence of a central database server must be guaranteed free from failure. To get a central database server that is free from failure is impossible. Something that can be cultivated is to create a system that can tolerate a failure in the central database server. This is done with the help of a second central database server (slave), which is useful as a replication of the central database server (master). To ensure data from these two central database servers are the same, then used the concept of reading and writing "read one/write all". And to manage all the processes needed in implementing a fault tolerant application, we need the help from a coordinator. The result obtained in this research is a design of fault tolerant architecture that can be applied to various types of information system applications include Point Of Sale application. By using this fault tolerant architecture that has been built, Point Of Sale application can still run the transaction process even if there is a failure in accessing data in one central database server (master/slave)
