Els costos laborals baixos de la Xina fan que els inversors tinguin més incentius per a treballar en nous negocis. Ara bé, pel que fa a la innovació i a la creació d'empreses, l'Índia té un funcionament millor i està més ben valorada. A continuació es tracten les fortaleses i debilitats de la Xina i l'Índia, així com les possibles estratègies que es poden dur a terme en cadascuna de les dues economies.There are several differences between the growth processes of China and of India. China has lower labour costs, which is clearly good for investors, and it offers greater incentives for the creation of new businesses. From the entrepreneurial and innovation standpoints, however, the startup process in India is very good. This paper presents the respective strengths and weaknesses of the Chinese and Indian markets, as well as the strategies that can be unfolded in these two economies

Linear complexity of quaternary sequences over Z4 based on Ding-Helleseth generalized cyclotomic classes

A family of quaternary sequences over Z4 is defined based on the Ding-Helleseth generalized cyclotomic classes modulo pq for two distinct odd primes p and q. The linear complexity is determined by computing the defining polynomial of the sequences, which is in fact connected with the discrete Fourier transform of the sequences. The results show that the sequences possess large linear complexity and are good sequences from the viewpoint of cryptography

Coherent Cancellation of Backaction Noise in optomechanical Force Measurements

Optomechanical detectors have reached the standard quantum limit in position and force sensing where measurement backaction noise starts to be the limiting factor for the sensitivity. A strategy to circumvent measurement backaction, and surpass the standard quantum limit, has been suggested by M. Tsang and C. Caves in Phys. Rev. Lett. 105 123601 (2010). We provide a detailed analysis of this method and assess its benefits, requirements, and limitations. We conclude that a proof-of-principle demonstration based on a micro-optomechanical system is demanding, but possible. However, for parameters relevant to gravitational wave detectors the requirements for backaction evasion appear to be prohibitive.Comment: 9 pages, 6 figure

No obstant això, la participació de la Xina en el període inicial va ser marginal i controvertida a causa de les condicions socials internes i al context polític internacional. L'any 1979 va ser crucial en la relació entre el Moviment Olímpic i la Xina ja que en la Sessió del CIO celebrada a Nagoya va acabar el llarg debat polític mantingut sobre la participació olímpica de la Xina, i aquest fet va facilitar les coses perquè la Xina exercís un paper bastant actiu en els assumptes olímpics i al mateix temps les seves polítiques esportives es veiessin influïdes en gran mesura pel Moviment Olímpic.La conexión entre China y el Movimiento Olímpico se remonta a principios del siglo XX. Sin embargo, la participación de China en el período inicial fue marginal y controvertida debido a las condiciones sociales internas y al contexto político internacional. El año 1979 fue crucial en la relación entre el Movimiento Olímpico y China ya que en la Sesión del CIO celebrada en Nagoya terminó el largo debate político mantenido sobre la participación olímpica de China, y este hecho facilitó las cosas para que China desempeñara un papel bastante activo en los asuntos olímpicos y al mismo tiempo sus políticas deportivas se vieran influidas en gran medida por el Movimiento Olímpico.The connection of China and the Olympic Movement could be tracked down to the early 20th century. However, the initiative period of China's Olympic involvement was marginal and controversial one due to its domestic social conditions and the international political background. 1979 was a turning point for the relationship between the Olympic movement and China for the IOC Session in Nagoya ended the long political debate over the China's Olympic participation, which paved the road for China taking quite active role in Olympic affairs and at the same time its sport policies have been deeply influenced by the Olympic movement. Beijing's two bids for the Olympics, one failed in 1993 (2000 Olympic Games) and another succeed in 2001 (2008 Olympic Games*), were the milestones for the development of Olympic movement in China. China may offer a unique contribution to the Olympic movement due to its special cultural heritage

Single-passage read-out of atomic quantum memory

A scheme for retrieving quantum information stored in collective atomic spin systems onto optical pulses is presented. Two off-resonant light pulses cross the atomic medium in two orthogonal directions and are interferometrically recombined in such a way that one of the outputs carries most of the information stored in the medium. In contrast to previous schemes our approach requires neither multiple passes through the medium nor feedback on the light after passing the sample which makes the scheme very efficient. The price for that is some added noise which is however small enough for the method to beat the classical limits.Comment: 8 pages, 2 figures, RevTeX
