In this paper, the state of a project to interoperate among some complex symbolic computation systems is presented. Webriefly put into context our problem, stressing the difficult points (essentially, the need of exchanging information whichencodes infinite data structures) and showing the limitations of the current standard XML -based languages tocommunicate mathematical knowledge, as MathML
