Relationship Amongst Technology Use, Work Overload, and Psychological Detachment from Work
Permanent connection to the work world as a result of new technologies raises the possibility of workday extensions and excessive workloads. The present study addresses the relationship between technology and psychological detachment from work resulting from work overload. Participants were 313 professionals from the health sector who responded to three instruments used in similar studies. Through PLS-SEM, regression and dependence analyses were developed, and through the bootstrapping method, significance of factor loadings, path coefficients and variances were examined. Results of the study corroborate a negative effect of technology use on psychological detachment from work and a positive correlation between technology and work overload. Additionally, there is a significant indirect effect of technology on psychological detachment from work as a result of work overload. Findings extend the literature related to the stressor-detachment model, and support the idea that workers who are often connected to their jobs by technological tools are less likely to reach adequate psychological detachment levels. Implications for the academic community and practitioners are discusse
Stress Among Health Care Professionals - The Need for Resiliency
Healthcare professionals are subjected to considerable levels of stress such as work overload, excessive working hours, sleep deprivation, repeated exposure to emotionally charged situations, dealing with difficult patients and conflicts with other staffs. Management of such stress should be given due importance, right from the days of training in medical sciences
State of gas exchange in recumbent and orthostatic positions and under physical load in healthy persons of varying age, sex and body build
Age effect on gas exchange was studied in the recumbent and orthostatic positions and under physical load. In the case of the older age group and for normal as compared with hypersthenic persons, oxygen consumption during rest and during moderate physical overload diminishes. When the vertical position is assumed oxygen consumption in persons of various age groups is distinctly increased, particularly in the elderly group. There is a reduction in the amount of oxygen consumption, oxygen pulse, recovery coefficient, and work efficiency under moderate overload. In persons over 50, physical labor induces a large oxygen requirement and a sharp rise in the level of lactic acid and the blood's lactate/pyruvate ratio. No distinct difference was noted in the amount of oxygen consumed during rest and during physical overload in men and women of the same physical development and age

On TCP-based SIP Server Overload Control
SIP server overload management has attracted interest recently as SIP becomes the core signaling protocol for Next Generation Networks. Yet virtually all existing SIP overload control work is focused on SIP-over-UDP, despite the fact that TCP is increasingly seen as the more viable choice of SIP transport. This paper answers the following questions: is the existing TCP flow control capable of handling the SIP overload problem? If not, why and how can we make it work? We provide a comprehensive explanation of the default SIP-over-TCP overload behavior through server instrumentation. We also propose and implement novel but simple overload control algorithms without any kernel or protocol level modification. Experimental evaluation shows that with our mechanism the overload performance improves from its original zero throughput to nearly full capacity. Our work also leads to the important high level insight that the traditional notion of TCP flow control alone is incapable of managing overload for time-critical session based applications, which would be applicable not only to SIP, but also to a wide range of other common applications such as database servers
Free and regular mixed-model sequences by a linear program-assisted hybrid algorithm GRASP-LP
A linear program-assisted hybrid algorithm (GRASP-LP) is presented to solve a mixed-model sequencing problem in an assembly line. The issue of the problem is to obtain manufacturing sequences of product models with the minimum work overload, allowing the free interruption of operations at workstations and preserving the production mix. The implemented GRASP-LP is compared with other procedures through a case study linked with the Nissan’ Engine Plant from Barcelona.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

ABSTRACT
DEWI RAISYUL QURYATI. Correlation between Work Overload with Job Satisfaction At Employees in PT Muamalat Bank Jakarta. The Scirpt, Jakarta:Study Program Of Economics Education, Concentration of Office Administration Education, Departemen of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University Of Jakarta, july 2015.
The purpose of this research is to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to know the correlation between work overload wit job satisfaction on employees in PT Muamalat Bank , Tbk. This reseacrh have been donne for two month since May 2015 until July 2015. The methode of research is survey with methode with correlation approach. The populations research consist of all employees of PT Muamalat Bank, Tbk in Jakarta with total 82 employees. Based on population table and sample with 5% margin eror, we get 65 sample of employees for sample
of employees for sampling. Data X variable about work overload and data Y variable about job satisfaction used questionnaire. The analysis test by finding regression equation, that is Y=128,08-1,053X. After that data normality test by using liliefors formula and the result is L count
= 0,072 and L =0,110 in significant level 0,05 , so L count 0,072F tabel . (4,00) approved that it has significance regression. While regression linearity test, F count (1,14) < F (1,82), showing that regression is linier. The result of product moment of correlations coefficient test, is r xy tabel = -0,638 continued by using correlations coefficient significance test with t-test. Counting result is, t (-6,57)< (-1,67). It means that there are significance and positive correlations between work overload with job satisfactions. Count The result determination coefficient test is 40,70%, variabel on work overload determined by job satisfactions. The conclussion of this reseacrh have shown that there is a negative correlations between work overload with job satisfactions.

Study of overload effects in bainitic steel by synchrotron X-ray diffraction
This work presents an in-situ characterisation of crack-tip strain fields following an overload bymeans of synchrotron X-ray diffraction. The study is made on very fine grained bainitic steel, thus allowing avery high resolution so that small changes occurring around the crack-tip were captured along the crack plane atthe mid-thickness of the specimen. We have followed the crack as it grew through the overload location. Oncethe crack-tip has progressed past the overload event there is strong evidence that the crack faces contact in theregion of the overload event (though not in the immediate vicinity of the current locations of the crack tip) atKmin even when the crack has travelled 1mm beyond the overload location. It was also found that at Kmax thepeak tensile strain ahead of the crack-tip decreases soon after the overload is applied and then graduallyrecovers as the crack grows past the compressive region created by the overload
