    Split Distributed Computing in Wireless Sensor Networks

    We designed a novel method intended to improve the performance of distributed computing in wireless sensor networks. Our proposed method is designed to rapidly increase the speed of distributed computing and decrease the number of the messages required for a network to achieve the desired result. In our analysis, we chose Average consensus algorithm. In this case, the desired result is that every node achieves the average value calculated from all the initial values in the reduced number of iterations. Our method is based on the idea that a fragmentation of a network into small geographical structures which execute distributed calculations in parallel significantly affects the performance

    Coded Federated Computing in Wireless Networks with Straggling Devices and Imperfect CSI

    Distributed computing platforms typically assume the availability of reliable and dedicated connections among the processors. This work considers an alternative scenario, relevant for wireless data centers and federated learning, in which the distributed processors, operating on generally distinct coded data, are connected via shared wireless channels accessed via full-duplex transmission. The study accounts for both wireless and computing impairments, including interference, imperfect Channel State Information, and straggling processors, and it assumes a Map-Shuffle-Reduce coded computing paradigm. The total latency of the system, obtained as the sum of computing and communication delays, is studied for different shuffling strategies revealing the interplay between distributed computing, coding, and cooperative or coordinated transmission.Comment: Submitted for possible conference publicatio

    A grid computing system is designed for solving complicated scientific and commercial problems effectively,whereas mobile computing is a traditional distributed system having computing capability with mobility and adopting wireless communications. Media and Entertainment fields can take advantage from both paradigms by applying its usage in gaming applications and multimedia data management. Multimedia data has to be stored and retrieved in an efficient and effective manner to put it in use. In this paper, we proposed an application layer protocol for delivery of multimedia data in wireless girds i.e. multimedia grid protocol (MMGP). To make streaming efficient a new video compression algorithm called dWave is designed and embedded in the proposed protocol.     Mobile computing is one of the recent growing fields in the area of wireless networking. The recent standardization efforts accomplished in Web services, with their XML-based formats for registration/discovery, service description, and service access, respectively UDDI, WSDL, and SOAP, certainly represent an interesting first step towards open service composition, which MA supports for mobile computing are expected to integrate within their frameworks soon. A middle-ware that can work even if the network parameters are changed can be a better solution for successful mobile computing. A middle-ware is proposed for handling the entire existing problem in distributed environment. Middleware is about integration and interoperability of applications and services running on heterogeneous computing and communication devices.
