Bibliometric analysis of sustainable business performance: where are we going? A science map of the field
Sustainable business performance is a rapidly growing field of
research that encompasses both academia and business. The purpose
of this study is to identify current and emerging research
trends and provide a comprehensive map of the knowledge
structure in the field of sustainable business performance, consistent
with recent developments in bibliometric research. Therefore,
this article offers a comprehensive bibliometric analysis based on
the performance analysis and science mapping of the academic
literature related to sustainable business performance published
between 1996 and 2021 in 807 publications on the Web of
Science. By using two powerful bibliometric visual software tools,
VosViewer and CiteSpace, and by applying various bibliometric
analyses such as co-citation analysis, co-authorship analysis, bibliographic
coupling, co-occurrence of keywords analysis, burst
detection analysis, and timeline view analysis, this paper presents
the fundamental characteristics of the body of knowledge in this
research field, while identifying the most influential publications,
institutions, source titles, countries, and authors, and the evolution
of keywords these years. The paper concludes with a discussion
of the most popular research topics and identification of
emerging research pattern areas that should be on the future
research agenda for researchers interested in sustainable business
performance
A Scientometric Analysis and Visualisation of Sustainable Fashion
Several studies on sustainable fashion have been reported. However, there needs to be more literature dealing with the scientometric analysis of sustainable fashion. To understand the current status of sustainable fashion, this study aimed to use bibliometric analysis and historical review to highlight recent research in sustainable fashion, to predict future research hotspots and trends in sustainable fashion, and to summarise and analyse the shortcomings in sustainable fashion. The Web of Science core database was searched for 573 publications on sustainable fashion up to 31 December 2023. VOSviewer and CiteSpace software were used to perform visual analyses
Re-imaging the future in urban studies and built environment discourse: A neurourbanism perspective
Neurological constructs are being applied in various fields; within urban studies and built environments, neurourbanism stands out. To understand this concept, this study seeks to conduct a scientometric analysis of the concept of neurourbanism. To do so, we gauged the intellectual structure and clarified the influencers and emerging themes while seeking to identify essential gaps in neurourbanism research in urban studies and the built environment. Data were sorted from Dimensions Artificial Intelligence platform because of its reliability in providing the needed dataset accurately, and the Citespace software was used to analyze the data. Our results suggest plurality in explaining the risk factors in urbanicity research, particularly regarding prevalence, incidence, and the general cause of psychosis in urban living. The study also shows that players in the construction sector, such as engineers, town planners, and developers, have not fully grasped how the built environment assists in improving well-being, reducing stress levels of urbanists, assisting migrants in settling into the community, and the general mental wellness of those who live in the city. The study also identified a correlation between urbanization and mental health and added that the main recipient of rapid urban transformation countries does not show leadership in neurourbanism studies

Corporate foresight: A bibliometric analysis on research trends
The pressure on companies, influenced by the rapid dissemination of technological innovations increased the volatility of business environments making difficult for companies to decide and act when faced with market uncertainties.
Corporate foresight (CF) is a fundamental management tool, which has been object of study in recent decades. CF enables companies to achieve better market position, sustainable profits and ultimately provides competitive advantages in the medium/long term, while also dealing positively with uncertainty. This research aims to identify investigate trends in CF based on previous studies. From a query created in Web of Science (WoS), we obtained our initial data sample, comprised between the period 2001 to 2021. Thus, allowing us to study the frequency of publications and total citations, as well as descriptively study journals, authors, keywords, and references. We then carried out a bibliometric analysis using CiteSpace software to study research patterns and trends. The results of the bibliometric analysis suggest a progressive interest in open foresight and the opportunity for new explanatory research as a method for understanding and validating corporate foresight.
Technology hypes: Practices, approaches and assessments
To date, the study of hype has become a productive but also eclectic field of research. This introduction provides an overview of the core characteristics of technology hype and distinguishes it from other future-oriented concepts. Further, the authors present promising approaches from various disciplines for studying, critiquing, and dealing with hype. The special issue assembles case studies, methodological and theoretical contributions that analyze tech hypes’ temporality, agency, and institutional dynamics. It provides insights into how hypes are triggered and fostered, but also how they can be deconstructed and anticipated. To date, the study of hype has become a productive but also eclectic field of research. The use of social network analysis to study health care provider advice and performance
Introduction: Social network analysis quantifies and visualises communication pathways between actors. This thesis focuses on the application of social network analysis methods to explore healthcare worker professional communication and performance by conducting a systematic review and a network study in Ethiopia. Paper 1: The systematic review analysed what social network methods have been used to study professional communication and performance among healthcare providers. Ten databases were searched from 1990 through April 2016, yielding 5,970 articles. There was marked diversity across all six studies meeting our search criteria in terms of research questions, health sector area, patient outcomes and network analysis methods. The paucity of articles, the complete lack of studies in low and middle-income contexts, the limited number in non-tertiary settings and few longitudinal, experimental designs or network interventions present clear research gaps. Paper 2: A cross-sectional, mixed-methods observational network study captured professional advice networks of 160 healthcare workers in eight primary health care units across four regions of Ethiopia. Data included health care worker advice seeking and giving for the provision of antenatal care, childbirth care, postnatal care and newborn care. Adjacency matrices were uploaded into UCINET 6.0 to calculate network metrics. Networks were visualised using NetDraw. Qualitative interviews of 20 purposively selected subjects followed the collection of quantitative network data to interpret and explain network roles and patterns observed. Expanded field notes were analysed using MaxQDA10. Results: Informal, inter-and intra-cadre advice networks existed. Fellow staff were preferred, but not limited to the primary health care unit. Average network-level metrics: density .26 (SD.11), degree centrality .45 (SD.08), distance 1.94 (SD.26), ties 95.63 (SD 35.46), network size 20.25 (SD 3.65). Conclusion: The systematic review found that network methods are underutilised in this area. The subsequent network study in Ethiopia serves to provide foundational information on healthcare worker professional advice networks
Tracing paradigm shifts in information literacy: a progressive knowledge domain visualization approach
An information literate population is a fundamental component of modern society, but the definition of what it means to be information literate has changed over time, resulting in debates within the information literacy community. Through the lens of Thomas Kuhn's theory of scientific revolutions and Shneider's four stages of a discipline framework, this dissertation examines the progress of the information literacy research domain using both scientometric and content analysis methods. Three research questions are addressed in this study. First, the structural and temporal features of the information literacy knowledge domain are identified using document co-citation analysis to identify major research areas, landmark and hub documents, and active research topics. Second, pivotal papers connecting major research areas are explored using pathfinder network scaling algorithms to identify critical paths of transition in the domain. Finally, full-text pivotal documents are examined using qualitative content analysis to trace the progression of information literacy construct definitions in seminal research documents. Findings support a paradigm shift occurred in the domain when the skills-based information literacy definition was rejected in favor of a metaliteracy model. Technological advancement emerged as an influencing factor on paradigms, playing a major role in the domain's evolution over the past half-century. Information literacy research and instruction is built upon the framework used to define what it means to be information literate. Therefore, this study has practical implications for information literacy researchers, librarians, and students.Includes bibliographical references
Map of scientific research on Communication in Spain: study fronts and rankings of authors, publications and institutions
This work presents a current map of scientific research on Communication in Spain, identifying both the research fronts of the publications with the greatest impact over the last three years (2019–2021) and the authors who led such work and their universities of reference. The original methodology applied herein focuses on an analysis of the cited authors. After a careful selection process, we work with a corpus of more than 800 articles, using Scopus and the VOSviewer software to generate a co-referencing map and throw light on the structure of the Communication field. On the basis of that analysis, we identify nine thematic clusters, with a particular grouping structure, leading authors, and relationships around fields of study such as communication, democracy and power, audiences and media consumption, the media industry, journalistic practice, fact checking and disinformation, journalistic innovation, and SEO journalism. The ranking of cited authors, where Ramón Salaverría and Rasmus K. Nielsen hold equal first position and the Chilean Claudia Mellado is the only woman at the head of a strong group, is put into context by analyzing their scientific production and the normalized impact in Communication of their institutions. The comparative analysis reveals the elite Spanish authors in Communication (Xosé López-García, Ignacio Aguaded, Andreu Casero-Ripollés, Lluís Codina, and Ramón Salaverría) and shows how universities in Madrid maintain their importance in terms of production but that those in Catalunya have the lead in terms of impact. The research is completed with a map of keyword co-occurrence that confirms the barrage of studies around the Covid crisis and the parallel and growing number of hoaxes (fakes). The research confirms the relevance of and opportunity to apply scientometric techniques to the Communication field
