    User interface design for the interactive use of online spoken German journalistic texts for the international public

    A design of a user-interface for the interactive use of online spoken German journalistic texts is proposed to provide the in-context signalization of ambiguous or connotative linguistic and paralinguistic information to non-native speakers of the German language The online transcribed spoken journalistic texts are scanned by the proposed module and the User is presented with an output in the module's user-interface constituting the actual text with an in-context indication of all the instances of connotative linguistic and paralinguistic information, which are signalized according to error data obtained from European Union Projects and international MA courses for translators and journalists. The module is designed to be able to be compatible with most commercial transcription tools, some of which are available online. © 2011 Springer-Verlag
