AbstractMulti Secret Image Sharing (MSIS) scheme is a protected method to transmit more than one secret images over a communication channel. Conventionally, only single secret image is shared over a channel at a time. But as technology grew up, there arises a need for sharing more than one secret image. An (n, n)-MSIS scheme is used to encrypt n secret images into n meaningless noisy images that are stored over different servers. To recover n secret images all n noise images are required. At earlier time, the main problem with secret sharing schemes was that one can partially figure out secret images by getting access of n – 1 or fewer noisy images. Due to this, there arises a need of secure MSIS scheme so that by using less than n noisy images no information can be retrieved. In this paper, we propose secure (n, n + 1)-MSIS scheme using additive modulo operation for grayscale and colored images. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme is highly secured and altering of noisy images will not reveal any partial information about secret images. The proposed (n, n + 1)-MSIS scheme outperforms the existing MSIS schemes in terms of security

The Secret Sharing is a scheme for sharing data into n pieces using (k, n) threshold method. Secret Sharing becomes an efficient method to ensure secure data transmission. Some visual cryptography techniques don’t guarantee security transmission because the secret information can be retrieved if the hackers obtain the number of shares. This study present a secret sharing method with hiding based on YCbCr color space. The proposed method is based on hiding the secret text file or image into a number of the cover image. The proposed method passes through three main steps: the first is to convert the secret text file or image and all cover images from RGB to YCbCr, the second step is to convert each color band to binary vector, then divide this band in the secret image into four-part, each part is appended with a binary vector of each cover image in variable locations, the third step is converting the color space from YCbCr to RGB color space and the generated shares, hidden with covers, are ready for transmission over the network. Even if the hackers get a piece of data or even all, they cannot retrieve the whole picture because they do not know where to hide the information. The results of the proposed scheme guarantee sending and receiving data of any length. The proposed method provides more security and reliability when compared with others. It hides an image of size (234x192) pixels with four covers. The MSE result is 3.12 and PSNR is 43.74. The proposed method shows good results, where the correlation between secret and retrieved images is strong ranging from (0.96 to 0.99). In the proposed method the reconstructed image quality is good, where original and reconstructed images Entropy are 7.224, 7.374 respectively

    XOR-Based Progressively Secret Image Sharing

[[abstract]]Secret image sharing technology is a strategy for jointly protecting secret images. The (n, n) secret image sharing problem can be solved by conventional Boolean calculation easily. However, how to recover secret images with progressive steps is not addressed. In this study, we proposed an XOR-based (m, t, Ti) multi-secret image sharing scheme that shares m secret images among m participants and recovers m shared images progressively with t thresholds. The proposed secret images partition strategy (SIPS) partitions m secret images to generate intermediate images for different thresholds in the sharing procedure. Based on progressive recovery property, the proposed recovery method recovers parts of the secret images by gathering consecutive shared images. Moreover, gathering all shared images can perfectly recover all secret images. The experimental results show that the proposed XOR-based multi-secret image sharing method has high security and efficiency.[[notice]]補正完

Two secret sharing schemes based on Boolean operations

Traditional secret sharing schemes involve complex computation. A visual secret sharing (VSS) scheme decodes the secret without computation, but each shadow is m times as big as the original. Probabilistic VSS solved the computation complexity and space complexity problems at once. In this paper we propose a probabilistic (2,n)scheme for binary images and a deterministic (n, n) scheme for grayscale images. Both use simple Boolean operations and both have no pixel expansion. The (2,n) scheme provides a better contrast and significantly smaller recognized areas than other methods. The (n, n) scheme gives an exact reconstruction
