    The simple connectedness of hyperplane complements in thick dual polar spaces of rank at least 4

    3Let Δ\Delta be a dual polar space of rank n≥4n \geq 4, HH be a hyperplane of Δ\Delta and Γ:=Δ∖H\Gamma: = \Delta\setminus H be the complement of HH in Δ\Delta. We shall prove that, if all lines of Δ\Delta have more than 33 points, then Γ\Gamma is simply connected.
