    The expansion of Internet technology and cloud computing evolution are empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have an opportunity to utilize the affordable cost of information technology and does not require an immense investment. Nowadays many SME’s ready to use the Internet in their business processes as well as large-scale enterprise, especially when the internet users outside of their organization is also expanding. Based on data in http://internetlivestats.com over the current five years, Indonesia has a notable increase in the number of internet user. This paper addresses the adoption of Point of Sales (POS) application based on cloud computing for Indonesian SME’s, resource exploration related to the use of the POS conducted with qualitative research.     Although cloud computing is a rapidly evolving technology and is considered one of the key technological drivers of business digitalisation, it is still a challenge for many businesses to adopt it. Implementing the right cloud services is challenging and requires the right level of knowledge. In addition, the size of the company, its digital maturity and its financial situation are also critical factors, which are particularly relevant for small and medium-sized enterprises.     THE EFFECT OF BIG DATA ANALYTICS CAPABILITY ON FIRM PERFORMANCE

    Big data analytics (BDA) has emerged as an important area of study for both academics and practitioners. Despite of rising potential value of BDA, a few studies have been conducted to investigate the effect of BDA on firm performance. In this research in progress, according to the challenges of BDA dimensions (volume, variety, velocity, veracity and value) we propose the BDA capability dimensions in line with IT capability concept. BDA infrastructure capability, BDA management capability, BDA personnel capability and relational BDA capability provide the overall BDA Capability concept. The study, by employing dynamic capability, proposes that BDA capability impacts on firm financial and market performance by mediated effect of operational performance. The finding of this research by providing essential BDA capability and its effect on firm performance can apply as a roadmap and fill the gap between managers’ expectation of BDA and what is emerged of BDA implementation

    The Impact of IT Investment on Firm Performance in Bangladesh: A Resource-based Perspective

    Using the RBV as a theoretical backdrop, the study is intended to begin the line of inquiry: Do IT asset matter and improve the firm performance? This inductive research used panel data estimation technique for unbalanced panel data to measure, describe, and analyze the firm performance. The results reveal a mixed behavioral effect of IT asset on firm performance. The positive influence of IT asset on firm performance suggests that a firm should invest to develop IT infrastructure in order to effectively promote firm IT capability and performance. However, the inverse relationship between IT asset and firm performance suggests that IT intensive stocks are not performing well in the stock market of Bangladesh. The study explains the IT asset’s contribution to firm performance from RBV perspective in the context of Bangladesh as well as extends the literature in this field

    Over the last two decades, research about IT value has been done. The main purpose of IT values research is to determine how IT investment gives impact and value to organization performance. Because of vital role and function of IT, the organization required to understand how IT could create business value. Therefore, an understanding of IT value is needed. Systematic literature review in meta-analysis is required to determine the relationship between IT resources, organization capabilities, organization core competencies, and organization performances. The research was conducted on 53 publications which generate the classification matrix components that have an impact on organization performance. Hypothesis testing results that organization has the best performance on financial, efficiency, and other performance through external capability and core competence. So, indirect effect model is better than direct effect model in explaining IT value

    Learnings from a Cloud Migration Project at a South African Retailer

    All industries are aware of the potential benefits of cloud computing, however, the migration to cloud has not been widely adopted by South African retailers. The purpose of this paper is to explore the motivations behind organisations deciding to migrate to cloud and the factors that may impact a successful cloud migration project. The paper discusses a case study that analysed the key drivers and the impact of cloud migration within a retail environment. The empirical findings suggest that skills and competencies largely impact every aspect of cloud migration, from decision making to execution and support. Furthermore, that migrating to cloud will differ based on organisational need and the type of cloud service being adopted. In addition, the findings outlines that best practise may advance as more organisations migrate to cloud environments

    Purposes - E-business could be one solution to resolve the problem of unemployment, especially for higher education graduates. Before they become an alumnus, We need to distinguish how their interest in the online business. Therefore, this study aim was to learn the effects of education, environment, and internet service available on students' interest for doing an online business.  Methods - The type of this study has utilized the survey. This study was used 94 selected samples with accidental sampling method. A questionnaire was an instrument for collecting the research information. The data were analysed by multiple regression techniques.  Findings - The results of this study indicate that partially variable education and availability of internet services had a significant effect on online business.  However, environmental variables had no significant effect on online business.
