    A novel systematic method to evaluate computer supported collaborative design technologies

    Selection of suitable computer-supported collaborative design (CSCD) technologies is crucial to facilitate successful projects. This paper presents the first systematic method for engineering design teams to evaluate and select the most suitable CSCD technologies comparing technology functionality and project requirements established in peer-reviewed literature. The paper first presents 220 factors that influence successful CSCD. These factors were then systematically mapped and categorised to create CSCD requirement statements. The novel evaluation and selection method incorporates these requirement statements within a matrix and develops a discourse analysis text processing algorithm with data from collaborative projects to automate the population of how technologies impact the success of CSCD in engineering design teams. This method was validated using data collected across 3 years of a student global design project. The impact of this method is the potential to change the way engineering design teams consider the technology they use and how the selection of appropriate tools impacts the success of their CSCD projects. The development of the CSCD evaluation matrix is the first of its kind enabling a systematic and justifiable comparison and technology selection, with the aim of best supporting the engineering designers collaborative design activity

    Na sequência da realização de um estágio curricular na empresa Fhlud – Technologies, Lda., que teve a duração aproximada de seis meses, apresenta-se o presente relatório que surge no contexto do Mestrado em Marketing, no Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração da Universidade de Aveiro. Conhecida por funcionar como um Marketplace online, a startup portuguesa, trabalha no apoio à produção, compra e venda de frutas e vegetais frescos. Atentando às necessidades atuais da empresa, este relatório relaciona as atividades e tarefas desenvolvidas com um enquadramento teórico de Marketplaces na área do agronegócio. Trata-se de um tema é de elevada pertinência dado o desenvolvimento de novos canais de compra e venda de produtos, e graças ao crescimento do uso do e-commerce para transações comerciais, redobrando a maneira como se processa o comércio B2B. Mais do que nunca, o papel que as novas tecnologias desempenham no setor do agronegócio, é crucial para colmatar os diversos problemas existentes nessa esfera. Neste sentido, o presente relatório tem como propósito, apresentar uma descrição detalhada das diversas atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer do estágio curricular, bem como, aplicação do conhecimento teórico à vertente prática e potenciar o crescimento da empresa através do marketing.Following the completion of a curricular internship in the company Fhlud - Technologies, Lda., which lasted approximately six-months, this report is being presented in the context of the master’s degree in Marketing at the Instituto of Accounting and Administration of the University of Aveiro. Known for acting as an online Marketplace, the Portuguese startup works to support producing, purchasing, and selling fresh fruits and vegetables. Considering the company’s current needs, this report relates the activities and tasks developed with a theoretical framework of Marketplaces in the agribusiness area. This is a highly pertinent topic due to the development of new channels to purchase and sell products, and the growth in the use of e-commerce for commercial transactions, reinforcing the way B2B commerce is carried out. More than ever, the role that new technologies play in the agribusiness sector is crucial to solving the various problems in this sphere. In this sense, this report aims to present a detailed description of the various activities developed during the internship, as well as the application of theoretical knowledge to the practical side and enhance the growth of the company through marketing.Mestrado em Marketin
