    The relevance of the study is based on the fact that in sociology, the phenomenon of mass media is included in the object-subject field of several industries: sociology of mass media, sociology of the media means, sociology of journalism, sociology of the Internet, and sociology of online media. The novelty of the work is determined by the fact that the analysis of the media was carried out in the framework of various sociological theories, in particular - mass society theory, where the media are considered as one of the main tools for disseminating mass culture; theories of the information society, within which information and the means of its dissemination play a vital role in the development of society. The practical novelty of the study is determined by the fact that the possibility of forming a structure for understanding the social position of the media contributes to the implementation of new social communication protocols

    The article discusses some features of information technologies used by Kazakh media during election campaigns of different years. The purpose of this work is to analyze the peculiarities and factors behind the increasing role of the Kazakh media in the process of democratic elections. The article shows that since 1991-1996 transitional phases, Kazakhstan has been undergoing an intensive procedure of incorporating the media into its constantly evolving democratic set-up and putting up a media monitoring system of the political process in place. Kazakhstan mass media has successfully coped with this task bringing in changes within and taking into account public mentality and technologies at hand. The article presents a comparative analysis of the use of various information technologies in Kazakh election campaigns of different years, with particular attention on the presidential election of 2019

The article shows the change in media consumption in Kazakhstan as a result of technological development and popularization of the Internet. The reflection of this change is a convergence, which becomes synonymous with backbone transformations in the media sphere. The central place of convergence problems in modern discussions about the future transformation of the information and communication sphere is explained by the multiplicity and multi-dimensional interpretation of this term.     Role of Media in Addressing the Socialization Problems of the Younger Generation: The Case of Kazakhstan

    The article examines the cultural and educational mission of modern media related to the spiritual and cultural education of youth in Kazakhstan. Over the past two decades, the socialization problems of Kazakh youth have been removed from the state’s social policy agenda. Methods of comparative and complex analysis were applied in this study. To define acute youth problems, the study analyzed television projects and printed materials related to different periods of media activity in Kazakhstan. Several sociological measurements were used to reveal the needs of the television audience. The study defined the key socialization factors and institutions of young people. The article describes the role of media in establishing social standards of behavior, communication, and activity that directly affect the process of socialization. The study analyzes the activities of TV channels performing a cultural and educational function. The need to strengthen the editorial policy of media resources, focusing on socially significant issues with priority given to social and educational broadcasting, became an essential conclusion of the study. The results of the study allowed to compile an average portrait of the young generation, as well as to identify the key characteristics for the correction of life strategies

The authors also consider such phenomena as landing and longread inseparable from storytelling in online space. In the article, there is characteristic of each component of technique of transmedia narration in the context of postmodernism information community and globalisation changes. The author analyses how the story in advertising is tool of reflection and experience transfer, value and cultural identification and how affect the audience.     Psychology of personality consciousness in the context of information and communication technologies and education system reform: Experience of EU countries

    The purpose of the article is to analyze the processes of formation of the psychology of personality consciousness in the context of active use of information and communication technologies and transformations in the field of education, primarily in the countries of the European Union. To realize this goal, the methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, as well as axiological and systematic methods as elements of general scientific knowledge are used. The results of the study indicate that the use of ICTs can be useful for developing countries that are implementing the westernization of educational systems, including the Republic of Kazakhstan. The use of various interactive platforms, online courses, multimedia materials, and other digital tools contributes to the creation of multifaceted and meaningful learning environments that promote critical thinking, independence, and innovative abilities of students. It is also proved that the availability of information and its accessibility still do not guarantee the formation of knowledge at the personal level. The conclusions indicate that in order to optimize the use of ICT in the modern educational process, it is proposed to introduce artificial intelligence and develop in-depth digital competence among teachers
