Лінгвокогнітивні, структурно-семантичні та лінгвостилістичні особливості відтворення англомовної термінології біомедичної інженерії в україномовному перекладі

Магістерська дисертація складається зі вступу, трьох розділів, висновків та загальних висновків, списку використаної літератури, що налічує 105 джерел, та 4 додатків. Загальний обсяг роботи складає 105 сторінок. Робота присвячена дослідженню лінгвокогнітивних, структурносемантичних та лінгвостилістичних особливостей відтворення англомовної термінології біомедичної інженерії в україномовному перекладі. Актуальність теми дослідження зумовлена інтенсивним розвитком, новизною та міждисциплінарністю фахової мови біомедичної інженерії. Мета дослідження полягає у перекладацькому аспекті аналізу концептосфери біомедичної інженерії. Досягення вказаної мети передбачає виконання таких завдань: - дослідити та схарактеризувати фахову мову біомедичної інженерії, специфіку та класифікацію термінологічних одиниць та способи їх перекладу. - класифікувати термінологічні одиниці на основі лінгвокогнітивного аналізу англійськомовних та українських текстів однієї проблематики та жанру. - укласти матрицю концептів таких напрямів біомедичної інженерії як: «дослідження порушень сну», та «біопринтери», упорядковуючи терміни на концептуально схожі групи, пов’язуючи їх з певними методами дослідження та засобами діагностики та лікування. - знайти та схарактеризувати вдалі перекладацькі рішення термінологічних одиниць шляхом створення міні-словника; - схарактеризувати особливості абревіації та акронімізації галузі біомедичної інженерії в англійській мові та способи їх перекладу; - виокремити найбільш вживані трансформації та перекладацькі прийоми під час перекладу термінів та абревіатур цієї сфери. Об’єктом дослідження є термінологічні одиниці сфери біомедичної інженерії. Предметом виступає український переклад англійських термінів біомедичної інженерії. У ході дослідження ми застосували методи аналізу і синтезу, за допомогою яких було зібрано й узагальнено теоретичний матеріал з досліджуваної теми, а також підбито підсумки дослідження. Метод лінгвостилістичного аналізу, що допоміг виявити основні стилістичні риси наукових текстів. Крім того, застосували порівняльний метод, статистичний або метод підрахунку абсолютних чисел та відсоткового співвідношення. Наукова новизна дослідження полягає в дослідженні фахової мови біомедичної інженерії в міждисциплінарному, політематичному аспектах на основі лінгвокогнітивного аналізу фахових бінарних текстів. Результати роботи посприяють подальшому розвитку та обґрунтуванню перекладацьких аспектів специфічної термінології у працях дослідників та фахівців, що становить теоретичну цінність роботи. Практичне значення полягає в укладанні міні-словників для двох напрямів біомедичної інженерії, в можливості використання результатів роботи в процесі підготовки перекладачів наукового та технічного перекладу. Overall, the paper consists of 105 pages. The work is devoted to the study of linguistic, cognitive, structural and semantic features of English terminology of the field of biomedical engineering in translation aspect. The topicality of the research topic is due to the intensive development, novelty and interdisciplinarity of the specialized language of biomedical engineering sphere. The aim of the research is to analyze the conceptual sphere of the biomedical engineering from the translational perspective. To achieve the above objective, the following tasks should be accomplished: - to study and to describe the specialized language of the biomedical industry, the features and classification of terminological units and the methods of their translation. - to classify terminological units on the basis of linguistic and cognitive analysis of English and Ukrainian texts of the same problem and genre. - to conclude the matrix of the concepts of such areas of biomedical engineering as: «sleep disorders research» and «bioprinting», arranging the terms into conceptually similar groups, associating them with certain research methods and ways of diagnosis and treatment. - to find and specify efficient translation solutions for terminological units by creating a thesaurus; - to outline the distinctive features of abbreviations and acronyms of biomedical engineering in English and the best ways to translate them; - to identify the most common transformations and translation techniques in the process of translating the terms of this sphere. The object of the study is the terminological units of the sphere of biomedical engineering. The subject is Ukrainian translation of English terms of the field of biomedical engineering. In the course of the study, we applied certain research methods, which included the method of sampling to determine the criteria for the selection of the material. Methods of analysis and synthesis, by means of which we collected and summarized the theoretical information concerning the topic of the study, as well as summarized the research results. The method of linguistic and stylistic analysis allowed us to identify the main stylistic features of scientific texts. In addition, the comparative method and statistical or the method of calculation were applied, in otder to get the total numbers and percentages, which gives the idea of the frequency of the usage of different translation transformations, techniques and strategies, identifying them and explaining their validity. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the study of the functional language of biomedical engineering in an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary aspect based on the linguistic and cognitive analysis of binary texts. Taking into account the relevance, rapid development and innovativeness of this cutting-edge industry. The results of the work will contribute to the further development and research studies of the translation aspects of the specialized terminology, which represents the theoretical value of the work. The practical value means the compilation of mini-dictionaries for two areas of biomedical engineering, the possibility of using the results of the work in the course of scientific and technical translators' training or lectures.
