New Haven Hospital Seventy-Fourth Annual Report for the Year 1900

Report for the year 1900, presented at the Annual Meeting, January 31st, 1901. This report includes images of the North East and South East view of the New Haven Hospital, guidelines for the Admission of patients, lists of Officers of the General Hospital Society of Connecticut for 1901, members of the Medical Board, Executive Officers of the Hospital, Board of Visitors, and Members of the Society which includes past officers and their terms. There is a list of Free Beds as well as a Form of Bequest. The report of the Directors is given by the Prudential Committee which includes a Comparative Statement of the Weekly Cost of Nine Neighboring Hospitals. The Report of the Medical Board includes a Medical Report of diseases treated, an Obstetrical Report, Surgical Report, and Surgical Operations Report. Within the Superintendent’s Report there are general statistics related to finances, one can find a list of costs of food and supplies here. The Appendix includes Funds of the Society, Hospital Sunday Donations, and other donations. General statistics include monthly admissions, age, nativity, class, occupation of patient, and towns. An annual summary at the end gives statistical information related to patient volume dating back to 1833.
