    Jaringan internet merupakan salah satu teknologi sistem jaringan komputer yang saat ini sedang berkembang pesat, untuk membangun sebuah jaringan internet, dibutuhkan teknologi yang bernama routing, karena routing merupakan bagian utama dalam memberikan suatu performansi dalam jaringan. Semakin besar sistem jaringan internet, maka konfigurasi routing akan semakin kompleks, bagian kontrol pun akan semakin rumit, tidak fleksibel dan sulit untuk diatur. Software Defined Network (SDN) adalah sebuah paradigma jaringan dimana control plane terpisah dengan data plane, sehingga mempermudah kita untuk melakukan konfigurasi di sisi control plane. Dengan adanya SDN diharapkan dapat menjalankan metode-metode yang terdapat pada jaringan konvensional seperti IP forwarding dan routing. Dalam proyek akhir ini dilakukan simulasi jaringan Software Defined Network dengan protocol routing Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) berbasis RouteFlow, serta mentransmisikan paket dengan protokol UDP dari pengirim ke penerima, dan dilakukan skenario pemutusan jalur pada jaringan untuk membuktikan kinerja routing OSPF. Pembuktian dilakukan dengan melakukan simulasi jaringan, yang terdiri dari 5 switch yang saling terhubung dengan perangkat control plane sebagai pengendali sebuah jaringan menggunakan POX controller, dan terhubung pada bagian forwarding plane menggunkan emulator mininet, yang hasil performansinya Quality Of Service ( QoS ) diukur menggunakan iperf. Hasil pengujian performansi penerapan routing OSPF pada jaringan SDN berbasis RouteFlow menunjukkan bahwa nilai QoS dengan besar total paket 128Kbps pada simulasi SDN yaitu, 2.1 Mbps untuk throughput, 0.06708 s untuk delay, 0.0825 ms untuk jitter, dan 0% untuk packet loss, dan nilai rata-rata time convergece untuk simulasi SDN adalah 3 detik, dan penambahan Background traffic sebesar 25Mbps, 50Mbps, 75Mbps, 100Mbps, dan 125Mbps.     Abstract -- Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new technology in the computer network. SDN provides convenience in designing, building and managing computer networks. Control plane and data plane can be separated in data communications on a computer network. Network devices can be set centrally at the controller. SDN controller is a computer with a Linux operating system and run the application opendaylight. OpenFlow protocol used in preparing insfratruktur SDN. OpenFlow is a standard communication interface that is located between the control and forwarding layer. Mininet used in building an effective and efficient platform. This simulator offers features that is sufficient to perform network simulation SDN.  Keyword— Software Defined Network, Controler, OpenFlow, Opendaylight, Mininet.  Abstrak— Software Defined Network (SDN) merupakan teknologi baru di jaringan komputer. SDN memberikan kemudahan dalam mendesain, membangun dan mengelola jaringan komputer. Control plane dan data plane  dapat dipisahkan dalam komunikasi data di jaringan komputer. Perangkat jaringan dapat disetting secara terpusat pada kontroler. Controler SDN adalah komputer dengan sistem operasi linux dan menjalankan aplikasi opendaylight. Protokol OpenFlow digunakan dalam menyusun insfratruktur SDN. OpenFlow adalah sebuah standar komunikasi antarmuka yang berada antara control dan forwarding layer. Mininet digunakan dalam membangun platform yang efektif dan efisien.     Optical Network Models and their Application to Software-Defined Network Management

    Software-defined networking is finding its way into optical networks. Here, it promises a simplification and unification of network management for optical networks allowing automation of operational tasks despite the highly diverse and vendor-specific commercial systems and the complexity and analog nature of optical transmission. A fundamental component for software-defined optical networking are common abstractions and interfaces. Currently, a number of models for optical networks are available. They all claim to provide open and vendor agnostic management of optical equipment.     Software attempts to build a computer network by separating it into two systems , the first system is the control plane which provides performance and fault management via NetFlow , IP fix , SNMP and other protocols . SDN was created in response to demands from large data centers , who found problems with coping with very unpredictable traffic patterns  these patterns could be have very high demand for existing network infrastructure , hence SDN is ideal for customers who have rapid changes in their day to day network load such as social networking sites , search engines , large data centers which have geographically dispersed resources and workload in specific locations . SDN has a key protocol called OpenFlow ,the data path of an OpenFlow Switch presents a clean flow table abstraction; each flow table entry contains a set of packet fields to match, and an action (such as send-out-port, modify-field, or drop). When an OpenFlow Switch receives a packet it has never seen before, for which it has no matching flow entries, it sends this packet to the controller. The controller then makes a decision on how to handle this packet. It can drop the packet, or it can add a flow entry directing the switch on how to forward similar packets in the future., provides a way to control the behavior of switches through the networking dynamically and programmatically
