Investment is the first stage for economic development, so investment is an important factor and cog for development, especially foreign investment. Another source of funding from foreign parties that helps the economic development of a country is FDI. Investment is very important to spur development in countries because it can help increase employment, increase income, advance technology, socio-economic development. A country\u27s FDI is influenced by a number of factors. The purpose of this finding is to understand and analyze the long-term and short-term impact on GDP, interest rates and exchange rates for FDI in Singapore in the 1985-2020 period. The population in this finding is Singapore. The sample used for this finding is the period 1985-2020. It can be concluded that there were 35 observers. The type of data used for this finding is secondary data, taken from the World Bank. The research method used is ECM with the help of Eviews 10 software. The independent variables in this finding are GDP, interest rates and exchange rates and the dependent variable is Singapore FDI for the 1985-2020 period. Based on estimation findings and statistical tests, FDI in Singapore from 1985 to 2020 was significantly and negatively affected by interest rate variables in the short term, but positively and significantly affected by GDP in the long term

Separable User Interface Architectures in Teaching Object Technology
This paper concerns the critical role of separable user interface design in teaching object-oriented systems. M206 "Computing: An Object-oriented Approach" is a large-scale university-level introduction to software development designed from scratch for distance learning, using an objects-first approach with Smalltalk. The course is degree-level, counting as one sixth, and is being offered in the UK, Western Europe and Singapore. To address the needs of industry we have developed a radical syllabus that adheres to the principle of designing complex systems by separating view and model, and have developed a programming and learning environment to support these ideas. In the paper we examine how separable user interface architectures have guided our teaching of object technology and the design of powerful microworlds that are both usable and extendible by neophytes. The course and relevant teaching with software is outlined and the technical design and pedagogic use of the microworlds and GUI builder tool are described
A method for the development of Dublin Core Application Profiles (Me4DCAP V0.2): detailed description
Our research in progress project aims the design of a method for the development of Dublin Core
Application Profiles (Me4DCAP). This paper describes Me4DCAP V0.2, an early version of a
method for the development of DCAP. The development of Me4DCAP was based on a Design
Science Research methodological approach and has as starting points the Singapore framework
for DCAP and the Rational Unified Process; integrates knowledge from: (i) the practices of the
metadata community concerning DCAP development, and (ii) software development processes
and techniques, focusing on the early stages of the processes that deal with data modeling.
Me4DCAP establishes a way for the development of a DCAP. It establishes which are the
activities, when they should take place, how they interconnect, and which deliverables they will
bring about; it also suggests which techniques should be used to build these deliverables. This work is sponsored by FEDER funds through the Competitivity Factors Operational

Employee behavior among expatriates in Scope International (M) Sdn Bhd / Muhammad Aswad Md Nor
Scope International is the Standard Chartered Group’s Global Technology & Operations Hub. A wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank, United Kingdom, Scope International is the first Global Shared Services Centre of an international bank in Malaysia. Established in 2001, Scope International provides a wide range of services to the Standard Chartered Bank in more than 70 countries worldwide. They comprise software and systems development, wholesale and consumer banking operations, contact centre, I.T. and Helpdesk services. Scope’s software division, International Software Centre Malaysia (ISCM) houses the largest software development centre and largest software testing facility in Malaysia. Scope International Malaysia currently employs more than 3,000 employees. With such a large number of employees, there surely is a variety of behavior among employees especially from expatriates from India and Singapore. But as a reputable company, Scope International Malaysia must distinguish themselves over other bank regardless of international bank or local bank in term of behavior of their employees. The research conducted is made to find whether the employees from India and Singapore have the behavior that the company wanted that is the Supportive, Smart, Courageous, Passionate and Reliable (S2CPR) behavior. This behavior will determine whether Scope International Malaysia has distinguished themselves among their competitor in the banking industry in Malaysia

Governing autonomous vehicles: emerging responses for safety, liability, privacy, cybersecurity, and industry risks
The benefits of autonomous vehicles (AVs) are widely acknowledged, but there
are concerns about the extent of these benefits and AV risks and unintended
consequences. In this article, we first examine AVs and different categories of
the technological risks associated with them. We then explore strategies that
can be adopted to address these risks, and explore emerging responses by
governments for addressing AV risks. Our analyses reveal that, thus far,
governments have in most instances avoided stringent measures in order to
promote AV developments and the majority of responses are non-binding and focus
on creating councils or working groups to better explore AV implications. The
US has been active in introducing legislations to address issues related to
privacy and cybersecurity. The UK and Germany, in particular, have enacted laws
to address liability issues, other countries mostly acknowledge these issues,
but have yet to implement specific strategies. To address privacy and
cybersecurity risks strategies ranging from introduction or amendment of non-AV
specific legislation to creating working groups have been adopted. Much less
attention has been paid to issues such as environmental and employment risks,
although a few governments have begun programmes to retrain workers who might
be negatively affected.Comment: Transport Reviews, 201
