    Review on Automatic Car Parking Indicator System

    Parking is costly and limited in almost every major city in the world. An Automatic car parking systems for meeting near term parking demand are needed. There is need to develop a vacant parking slot detection and tracking system. Around view monitor (AVM) image sequence makes it possible with 360-degree scene Bird’s eye view camera. Around view monitor (AVM) captures the image sequence and on combining of each images empty slot is detected. The Ultrasonic sensor is useful to determine the adjacent vehicle. Hierarchical tree structure based parking slot marking method is used to recognize the parking slot marking. After combining sequentially detected parking slot, empty parking slot is recognized and the driver has to select one of the empty parking slots and drive into it.     A study of remotely booking slot for vehicle using Internet of Things

    Internet Of Things (IoT) is a continually growing area which aids us to unite diverse objects. The proposed system exhibits the universal notion of utilizing cloud-based intellectual automotive car parking facilities in smart cities as a notable implementation of the IoT. Such services demonstrate to be a noteworthy part of the IoT and thus serving users in no small amount due to its pure commerce positioned qualities. Electromagnetic fields are being used by RFID to detect and track tags ascribed to objects automatically. The RFID technology is used in this system along with suitable IoT protocols to evade human interference, which reduces the cost. Information is bartered using readers and tags. RFID and IoT technologies are mainly used to automate the guide systems and make them strong and more accurate. Open Service Gateways can be effectively used for this module. This system established on the consequence of IoT and the purposes are solving the chaos, bewilderment, and extensive backlogs in parking spaces like malls and business parks that are customary as a consequence of the increased use of automobiles. The proposed work aims to solve these problems and offer car drivers a hassle-free and instantaneous car parking experience. While a number of nodes are positioned depends on topographical restrictions, positioning of prominent anchor sensor nodes in the smart parking is a primary factor against which the efficiency and cost of the parking system hang. A Raspberry Pi would act as a mini-computer in our system. A suitable smallest path methodology would be cast-off to obtain the shortest distance between the user and every car park in the system. Hence, the pausing time of the user is decreased. This work furthermore includes the practice of remotely booking of a slot with the collaboration of android application exercising smartphones for the communication between the Smart Parking system and the user

    The large number of vehicles constantly seeking access to congested areas in cities means that finding a public parking place is often difficult and causes problems for drivers and citizens alike. In this context, strategies that guide vehicles from one point to another, looking for the most optimal path, are needed. Most contributions in the literature are routing strategies that take into account different criteria to select the optimal route required to find a parking space. This paper aims to identify the types of smart parking systems (SPS) that are available today, as well as investigate the kinds of vehicle detection techniques (VDT) they have and the algorithms or other methods they employ, in order to analyze where the development of these systems is at today. To do this, a survey of 274 publications from January 2012 to December 2019 was conducted. The survey considered four principal features: SPS types reported in the literature, the kinds of VDT used in these SPS, the algorithms or methods they implement, and the stage of development at which they are. Based on a search and extraction of results methodology, this work was able to effectively obtain the current state of the research area. In addition, the exhaustive study of the studies analyzed allowed for a discussion to be established concerning the main difficulties, as well as the gaps and open problems detected for the SPS.     From Smart Parking Towards Autonomous Valet Parking: A Survey, Challenges and Future Works

    Recently, we see an increasing number of vehicles coming into our lives, which makes finding car parks a difficult task. To overcome this challenge, efficient and advanced parking techniques are required, such as finding the proper parking slot, increasing users’ experience, dynamic path planning and congestion avoidance. To this end, this survey provides a detailed overview starting from Smart Parking (SP) towards the emerging Autonomous Valet Parking (AVP) techniques. Specially, the SP includes digitally enhanced parking, smart routing, high density parking and vacant slot detection solutions. Moreover, the AVP involves Short-range Autonomous Valet Parking (SAVP) and Long-range Autonomous Valet Parking (LAVP). Finally, open issues and future work are provided
