Modeling of Social Transitions Using Intelligent Systems

In this study, we reproduce two new hybrid intelligent systems, involve three prominent intelligent computing and approximate reasoning methods: Self Organizing feature Map (SOM), Neruo-Fuzzy Inference System and Rough Set Theory (RST),called SONFIS and SORST. We show how our algorithms can be construed as a linkage of government-society interactions, where government catches various states of behaviors: solid (absolute) or flexible. So, transition of society, by changing of connectivity parameters (noise) from order to disorder is inferred

Rough Set Theory for Real Estate Appraisal: An Application to Directional District of Naples

This paper proposes an application of Rough Set Theory (RST) to the real estate field, in order to highlight its operational potentialities for mass appraisal purposes. RST allows one to solve the appraisal of real estate units regardless of the deterministic relationship between characteristics that contribute to the formation of the property market price and the same real estate prices. RST was applied to a real estate sample (office units located in Directional District of Naples) and was also integrated with a functional extension so-called Valued Tolerance Relation (VTR) in order to improve its flexibility. A multiple regression analysis (MRA) was developed on the same real estate sample with the aim to compare RST and MRA results. The case study is followed by a brief discussion on basic theoretical connotations of this methodology

    Sub-exact sequence of rough groups

    Get PDF
Rough Set Theory (RST) is an essential mathematical tool to deal with imprecise, inconsistent, incomplete information and knowledge Rough Some algebra structures, such as groups, rings, and modules, have been presented on rough set theory. The sub-exact sequence is a generalization of the exact sequence. In this paper, we introduce the notion of a sub-exact sequence of groups. Furthermore, we give some properties of the rough group and rough sub-exact sequence of groups.
