This research is an Ex-post facto with quantitative approach. The population is a class XII student of Audio Video department SMK Piri 1 Yogyakarta school year 2011/2012 which amounts to 24 students. Methods of data collection using questionnaires Likert scale models for all variables. The validity of research instruments performed by analysis of the items calculated by the formula Product moment correlation. Reliability of the instrument calculated using Cronbach Alpha. Prior to the first data analysis conducted descriptive analysis and testing requirements analysis including tests of normality, linearity tests, and multicollinearity test. Data analysis techniques are used to test the hypothesis is a technical product moment correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis techniques. The results showed that: (1) there is a positive relationship between entrepreneurial knowledge (X1) with the readiness of student entrepreneurship indicated coefficient R = 0.639. The coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.408 and is shown by the equation Y = 27.099 + 0.877 X1. (2) there is a positive relationship between family support (X2) with the readiness of entrepreneurship students (Y) are indicated coefficient R = 0.644. The coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.415 and is shown by the equation Y = 42.00 + 0.777 X2 . (3) there is a positive relationship between soft skills (X3) with the readiness of entrepreneurship students (Y) are indicated coefficient R = 0.344. The coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.118 and is shown by the equation Y = 20.217 + 0.160 X3. (4) there is a positive relationship between learning achievement (X4) with entrepreneurship student readiness (Y) are indicated coefficient R = 0.237. coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.056 and is shown by the equation Y = 18.889 + 0.188 X4. (5) there is a positive relationship between entrepreneurial knowledge (X1), family support (X2), soft skills (X3) and learning achievement (X4) together on the readiness of entrepreneurship students (Y), which indicated multiple regression coefficient Rx(1,2,3,4) y of 0.921. coefficient of determination (r2) = 0.848 and is shown by the equation Y = 13.402 + 0.746 X1 + 0.471 X2 + 0.122 X3 - 0483X

Assessment of an international breaststroke swimmer using a race readiness test

Competitive swimmers routinely undertake a 7 x 200-m incremental step test to evaluate their fitness and readiness to compete. An exercise protocol more closely replicating competition swimming speeds may provide further insight into the swimmer’s physiological and technical readiness for competition. This case study reports data over a 3-year period from 11 Race Readiness Tests, which were completed, in addition to the 7 x 200-m test, as an attempt to provide the swimmer and coach with a fuller assessment. For this individual, data provided objective information from which to assess training status and race readiness following a transition from 200-m to 100-m race training. Data also raised a question as to whether a 100-m maximal effort 10 minutes before another one actually enhances performance owing to a priming effect

Psychometric Properties of the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale

The purpose of the study was to assess the psychometrics properties of the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale (RHDS), a 23-item instrument that measures patients\u27 perception of readiness for discharge. Data were obtained from 356 respondents from two urban tertiary medical centers (adult and children\u27s) in the midwestern United States who were participants in a larger study of predictors and outcomes of readiness for hospital discharge. Confirmatory factor analysis, contrasted group comparisons, and predictive validity testing supported the 4-factor structure and construct validity of the instrument. Following deletion of two poorly performing items, Cronbach\u27s alpha for the revised 21item scale was 0.90. The RHDS can be a useful tool for measurement of readiness for discharge for clinical and research purposes

Putting the Pieces Together for Good Governance of REDD+: An Analysis of 32 REDD+ Country Readiness Proposals

Developing countries are receiving new financial and technical support to design and implement programs that reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (referred to as REDD+). Reducing emissions from forest cover change requires transparent, accountable, inclusive, and coordinated systems and institutions to govern REDD+ programs. Two multilateral initiatives -- the World Bank-administered Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) and the United Nations Collaborative Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in developing countries (UN-REDD Programme) -- are supporting REDD+ countries to become "ready" for REDD+ by preparing initial strategy proposals, developing institutions to manage REDD+ programs, and building capacity to implement REDD+ activities. This paper reviews 32 REDD+ readiness proposals submitted to these initiatives to understand overall trends in how eight elements of readiness (referred to in this paper as readiness needs) are being understood and prioritized globally. Specifically, we assess whether the readiness proposals (i) identify the eight readiness needs as relevant for REDD+, (ii) discuss challenges and options for addressing each need, and (iii) identify next steps to be implemented in relation to each need. Our analysis found that the readiness proposals make important commitments to developing effective, equitable, and well-governed REDD+ programs. However, in many of the proposals these general statements have not yet been translated into clear next steps

Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale for older people: psychometric testing and short form development with a three country sample

Aim To develop and psychometrically test Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale for older people and to reduce the scale to a more practical short form. Background The Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale is the only available and validated scale measuring patients\u27 perceived readiness just prior to discharge. Design Secondary analysis of hospital studies data from three countries. Method Data were collected between 2008–2012. The study sample comprised 998 medical-surgical older patients. Factor analysis was undertaken to identify the factor structure of the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale. Group comparisons for construct validity and predictive validity for readmission were also conducted. Results The Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale original four factor solution does not appear to be consistent with the observed data of older people in the three countries. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed that a 17-item scale with three factors produced the best model fit. Nine items, three from each factor, loaded consistently on their respective factors in each country sample. Confirmatory factor analysis of this short form model indicated that the model adequately fit the data. Patients who lived alone, were older, or who indicated ‘not ready’ for discharge had lower Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale for Older People scores, which were also associated with readmission risk. Conclusion The revised three factor structure of the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale for Older People in long and short forms more adequately assesses core components of discharge readiness in the older adult population than the original adult form
