    In this research, a review of the literature is carried out focused on the main authors and keywords that refer to production processes, automation and productivity. This project consists of installing, testing and starting up an automated storage system for aluminum profiles container baskets in companies of the industrial sector in the department of Atl谩ntico in order to increase productivity and reduce waiting times for materials for the production lines. The project includes the installation of the entry and exit docks for baskets containing aluminum profiles, the locations of the warehouse, the electrical system and the control system. As a final result, it is expected to show improvements in the production processes of the companies, reducing the response time in the distribution channel of the raw material to the operating area, better results in terms of the quality of the products offered by the company, reducing in this way the non-conformities of the clients, trained human resources for the operation and maintenance of the system and the reduction in labor accidents due to the handling of products when loading, unloading, transfers, among other movements. The application of automated systems for the supply chain in industrial companies becomes a fundamental step to promote the use of technologies that increase productivity and make a company more competitive.En la presente investigaci贸n se realiza una revisi贸n de la literatura enfocada en los principales autores y palabras clave que hacen referencia a procesos de producci贸n, automatizaci贸n y productividad. Este proyecto consiste en instalar, probar y poner en marcha un sistema automatizado de almacenamiento de canastas contenedoras de perfiles de aluminio en empresas del sector industrial en el departamento del Atl谩ntico con el fin de aumentar la productividad y disminuir los tiempos de espera de material para las l铆neas de producci贸n. El proyecto abarca la instalaci贸n de los muelles de entrada y salida de canastas que contienen perfiles de aluminio, las ubicaciones de la bodega, el sistema el茅ctrico y sistema de control. Como resultado final se espera evidenciar mejoras en los procesos de producci贸n de las empresas, reduciendo el tiempo de respuesta en el canal de distribuci贸n de la materia prima hacia la zona operativa, mejores resultados en cuanto a la calidad de los productos ofrecidos por la empresa, reduciendo de esta forma las no conformidades de los clientes, recurso humano capacitado para la operaci贸n y mantenimiento del sistema y la reducci贸n en los accidentes laborales por la manipulaci贸n de productos al momento de realizar cargues, descargues, traslados, entre otros movimientos.     Interpretive Structural Model of Key Performance Indicators for Sustainable Manufacturing Evaluation in Cement Industry

    This paper aims to analyze the relationships among the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for sustainable manufacturing evaluation in the cement industry. The initial KPIs have been identified and derived from literature, and then validated by industry survey. As a result, three factors dividing into a total of thirteen indicators have been proposed as the KPIs for sustainable manufacturing evaluation in cement industry. Interpretive structural modeling (ISM) methodology is applied to develop a network structure model of the KPIs. The results show the indicators of economic factor are regarded as the basic indicator, while the indicators of environmental factor are indicated to be the leading indicator. Of those indicators, raw material substitution is regarded as the most influencing indicator. The ISM model can aid the cement companies by providing a better insight in evaluating sustainable manufacturing performance
