Validity evidence of the organizational justice scale in Spain

Antecedentes: el interés por la medición de la percepción de justicia organizacional ha aumentado en los últimos años debido a su demostrada relación con resultados organizacionales significativos, como el bienestar y el agotamiento emocional. En España, se puede destacar la Escala de Justicia Organizacional (OJS) como un instrumento que ha mostrado buenas propiedades psicométricas en estudios previos en el sector hotelero. Este estudio complementa la evidencia de las características de la OJS utilizando una amplia muestra multisectorial. Método: los participantes fueron 849 empleados de diferentes sectores ocupacionales. La estructura de la OJS se estudió mediante análisis factorial exploratorio y confirmatorio dividiendo la muestra en dos submuestras aleatorias. Además, se analizó la fiabilidad y validez de cada dimensión. Resultados: los resultados indicaron que la escala está constituida por tres factores (distributiva, procedimental y en la interacción), con una fiabilidad y validez adecuadas. Por otra parte, como era de esperar, se encontraron correlaciones positivas entre la percepción de justicia organizacional y el bienestar, y negativas con el agotamiento emocional. Conclusiones: la OJS es una herramienta adecuada para su uso por parte de académicos y profesionales en el estudio de la percepción de justicia organizacional en España, garantizando una validez y fiabilidad adecuadas.Universidad de Oviedo. Online Umfrage zu Open Journal Systems (OJS). Bedarfsanalyse im Rahmen des Projektes „OJS-de.net“

Im Rahmen des Projektes „OJS-de.net – Nachhaltige OJS-Infrastruktur zur elektronischen Publikation wissenschaftlicher Zeitschriften“ (www.ojs-de.net) wurde im Frühjahr 2015 eine Online-Umfrage zu Open Journal Systems (OJS) an alle OJS-Akteure im deutschsprachigen Raum versandt. Das Projekt „OJS-de.net“ ist eine gemeinsame Initiative des Center für Digitale Systeme der Freien Universität Berlin (CeDiS), der Universitätsbibliothek Heidelberg, und des Kommunikations-Informations- und Medienzentrums (KIM) der Universität Konstanz und wird von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) finanziert. Die Online-Umfrage hatte zum Ziel, einen Überblick über die Verwendung und den Einsatz von OJS an deutschsprachigen Universitäten und Forschungseinrichtungen sowie die Bedarfe von Hostinganbietern und Zeitschriftenbetreibern an der OJS-Software zu ermitteln und zu analysieren. In der vorliegenden Publikation werden alle Ergebnisse und Antworten der Online-Umfrage zu Open Journal Systems zusammengetragen und in Open Access zugänglich gemacht

Some relational structures with polynomial growth and their associated algebras II: Finite generation

The profile of a relational structure $R$ is the function $\varphi_R$ which counts for every integer $n$ the number, possibly infinite, $\varphi_R(n)$ of substructures of $R$ induced on the $n$-element subsets, isomorphic substructures being identified. If $\varphi_R$ takes only finite values, this is the Hilbert function of a graded algebra associated with $R$, the age algebra $A(R)$, introduced by P.~J.~Cameron. In a previous paper, we studied the relationship between the properties of a relational structure and those of their algebra, particularly when the relational structure $R$ admits a finite monomorphic decomposition. This setting still encompasses well-studied graded commutative algebras like invariant rings of finite permutation groups, or the rings of quasi-symmetric polynomials. In this paper, we investigate how far the well know algebraic properties of those rings extend to age algebras. The main result is a combinatorial characterization of when the age algebra is finitely generated. In the special case of tournaments, we show that the age algebra is finitely generated if and only if the profile is bounded. We explore the Cohen-Macaulay property in the special case of invariants of permutation groupoids. Finally, we exhibit sufficient conditions on the relational structure that make naturally the age algebra into a Hopf algebra.Comment: 27 pages; submitte

Multivariate modality inference using Gaussian kernel

The number of modes (also known as modality) of a kernel density estimator (KDE) draws lots of interests and is important in practice. In this paper, we develop an inference framework on the modality of a KDE under multivariate setting using Gaussian kernel. We applied the modal clustering method proposed by [1] for mode hunting. A test statistic and its asymptotic distribution are derived to assess the significance of each mode. The inference procedure is applied on both simulated and real data sets
