Theory of stripe domains in magnetic shape memory alloys
The evolution of multivariant patterns in thin plates of magnetic shape
memory materials with an applied magnetic field was studied theoretically. A
geometrical domain-model is considered composed of straight stripe-like
martensite variants with constant internal magnetization (high anisotropy
limit) and magnetic domain wall orientation fixed by the twin boundaries.
Through integral transforms of the demagnetization energy, the micromagnetic
energy is cast into a form convenient for direct numerical evaluation and
analytical calculations. The equilibrium geometrical parameters of multivariant
patterns with straight and oblique twin boundaries have been derived as
functions of the applied field and the material parameters of a plate. It is
shown that the oblique multivariant states exist only in plates with
thicknesses L larger than a certain critical value L_0. In samples with L < L_0
a magnetic-field-driven transformation occurs directly between single variant
states.Comment: Materials for E-MRS Fall Meeting, Warsaw 2007. Corrected figure
Text Analytics for Android Project
Most advanced text analytics and text mining tasks include text classification, text clustering, building ontology, concept/entity extraction, summarization, deriving patterns within the structured data, production of granular taxonomies, sentiment and emotion analysis, document summarization, entity relation modelling, interpretation of the output. Already existing text analytics and text mining cannot develop text material alternatives (perform a multivariant design), perform multiple criteria analysis,
automatically select the most effective variant according to different aspects (citation index of papers (Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar) and authors (Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar), Top 25 papers, impact factor of journals, supporting phrases, document name and contents, density of keywords), calculate utility degree and market value. However, the Text Analytics for Android Project can perform the aforementioned functions. To the best of the knowledge herein, these functions have not been previously implemented; thus this is the first attempt to do so. The Text Analytics for Android Project is briefly described in this article
An integration of partial evaluation in a generic abstract interpretation framework
Information generated by abstract interpreters has long been
used to perform program specialization. Additionally, if the
abstract interpreter generates a multivariant analysis, it is also possible to perform múltiple specialization. Information about valúes of variables is propagated by simulating program execution and performing fixpoint computations for recursive calis. In contrast, traditional partial evaluators (mainly) use unfolding for both propagating valúes of variables and transforming the program. It is known that abstract interpretation is a better technique for propagating success valúes than unfolding. However, the program transformations induced by unfolding may lead to important optimizations which are not directly achievable in the existing frameworks for múltiple specialization based on abstract interpretation. The aim of this work is to devise a specialization framework which integrates the better information propagation of abstract interpretation with the powerful program transformations performed by partial evaluation, and which can be implemented via small modifications to existing generic abstract interpreters. With this aim, we will relate top-down abstract interpretation with traditional concepts in partial evaluation and sketch how the sophisticated techniques developed for controlling partial evaluation can be adapted to the proposed specialization framework. We conclude that there can be both practical and conceptual advantages in the proposed integration of partial evaluation
and abstract interpretation
