These factors interact and influence each other in shaping adolescents' interest in religious activities at the mosque. Furthermore, significant supporting factors include a religious family environment and an active religious community with engaging and beneficial activities, which motivate adolescents to actively participate in religious activities at the mosque. However, there are also inhibiting factors such as social pressure, lack of free time, and technological distractions like gadgets and social media. This research provides a deeper understanding of adolescents' interest in participating in religious activities at Jami' Babussalam Mosque, Lawang. The research findings are expected to offer recommendations to relevant parties in enhancing adolescents' participation and interest in religious activities at the mosque, as well as strengthening their religious awareness
Acculturation of Chinese and Islamic Culture at the Interior of the Ronghe Mosque
The architectural form of the Ronghe mosque is an architectural work with cultural tolerance related to building function change and cultural fusion. The combination of culture is manifested in the form of the mosque’s interior with various elements and ornaments. The visual form of the mosque’s interior represents the function of the building inside. In addition to its practical functions, the visuals mosque buildings provide visual meaning from the result of new formations because they get the influence of Chinese culture the characterizes the mosque so that it becomes a building of places of worship that have own character without reducing the values of Islamic law. Acculturation or cultural fusion in its applica-tion to the interior of mosque has a new form and some are only a combined form. In the discussion of this paper apply the case study approach as part of a qualitative framework, which will be discussed descriptively analytically. This method focuses on periodic observations of the object under study by looking for traces as suggested by Gehl (2013, p.24).

Exploring the Giving Practices in American Mosques: Why Do Muslims Give So Little to Their Mosques?
This article represents the first effort to explore the giving practices of Muslims in American mosques. The research for this article was based on two studies: (1) a previously published study, “The American Mosque 2011,” which consisted of 524 telephone interviews of mosque leaders; and (2) a previously unpublished 2013 study of 3 mosques and the 2016 follow-up interviews with donors from the three mosques. The results show that mosque attendees give much less than their counterparts in churches. Interviews with donors in the three mosques were conducted in order to draw some preliminary conclusions as to why the giving rate in mosques is low. The interviews indicate that one of the underlying factors for the low rate of giving is that mosque attendees do not have a clear theology for giving to mosques and that a culture of giving to mosques does not exist among immigrant Muslims. It must be emphasized that this article is exploratory. Broader and more in-depth studies are needed to develop definitive conclusions about giving practices in mosques

Masjid Besar Kauman Semarang which is simply called as Masjid Besar Kauman is an ancient mosque in Central Java which has various characteristics: Javanese,Persian and Arabian.Considering the model of the roof, the mosque exposesits Javanese characteristics; even its triple overlapping roof with the mustaka on the top reminds us to the Masjid Agung Demak. On the other hand, looking at its gate the mosque belongs to Persian and Arabian characteristics. The mosque which was founded by Kyai Adipati Surodimenggolo II is a series of historical development of the mosque in Semarang. In a short time, unfortunately, the mosque was on fire. In 23 April 1889 the mosque was rebuilt by G.I. Blume and Raden Tumenggung Cokrodipuro and by 23 November 1890 the rebuilding of the mosque completely finished. Suchinformation can be seen in the inscription on the sculpture at the mosque gate

Women in Britain’s First Muslim Mosques:Hidden from History, but Not Without Influence
Two of the earliest Muslim communities in Britain evolved around the first mosques in Liverpool and Woking (both—1889). The history of these early British Muslims is being recovered but little is known about the women (usually converts) in these communities. This article will draw upon original findings from archival research, to examine ‘leadership’ that women in these communities undertook and their influence in shaping their nascent British Muslim communities. The practical, theological and philosophical negotiations around gender roles, female leadership, and veiling and the social contexts within which they took place are examined. By uncovering historical responses to issues that remain topical in British Muslim communities, this article provides historical grounding for contemporary debates about female Muslim leadership in British Muslim communities
Mosque architecture in Malaysia : classification of styles and possible influence
The main purpose of the research is to set up an initial framework of architectural description of Muslim architecture in Malaysia within the context of the architectural concern of ‘style’. The main concern is to elucidate clearly the different architectural styles of Muslim architecture and suggest hypotheses for future studies in relation to the forces which might have been instrumental in the conception of these styles. The research is important in order to project the message that much of what we understand as ‘Islamic Architecture’ in the present literature comes from various artistic and political agendas that have questionable merits compared to an analytical approach of Islamic architecture from the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The research is also important for practicing architects to understand that the present syntax of ‘Islamic Architecture’ with its references in Middle Eastern, Mid Asian and African models are not necessarily the best precedence to project the architectural message of Islam. As opposed to the three classification of Traditional, Colonial and Modern styles of mosque architecture, the research has identified seven main styles with a suggestion of the rationale and influences of those styles
Architectural style of dawah mosque in Malaysia: from vernacular to modern structures
The main purpose of this paper is to document the development phases of da’wah mosque architectural style in Malaysia from pre to post - independence era. Throughout Islamic history in many Muslim and non - Muslim countries, mosque not only function as a place to perform prayers but also serves as multifunctional space to conduct various activities involving individual and communal needs like da’wah . Similar scenario also occurs in the context of Malaysia’s mosque development in which the mosque act as a sign to convey message of Islam and as symbol of da’wah . These da’wah mosque architectural style however undergo various changes due to many influencing factors like the role of mosque patron, continuous transformation of designer tastes as well as social, economic and political influence. Nonetheless, the most empowering influence is from the role of patron or client whom has the major tendency to shape the da’wah mosque based on their individual ideology that they hold onto. To analyze the mosque design and its evolution in Malaysia, interpretivism as research paradigm will be adopted. This is vital to establish set of practices in order to sort out the role and function of da’wah mosque throughout the Malaysian history. Hermeneutic on the other hand will be used as methodological approach to extract the meaning of the da’wah mosque as a ‘sign’ as well as to understand the documentation relating to the da’wah mosque as subject of research. The findings then will be analyzed using coding method. This paper, therefore, offers clear knowledge on the da’wah mosque study by widening and strengthening the understanding of Islamic architecture in Malaysia
