This practice was developed in the Urabá - Antioqueño region, in the farms of the southern zone of the company Agrícola Sara Palma S.A., which is dedicated to the production and export of high-quality banana (Premium), this practice consisted of carrying out follow-ups, evaluations, monitoring and trials in the cultivation of bananas (Musa AAA), In the farms entrusted to the area of technical services in the southern zone, located between the municipalities of Chigorodo and Carepa belonging to the department of Antioquia, in this internship process, training and accompaniment were carried out for workers in cultural tasks (Embolse, mooring, topping, protection, gauntlet and stripping MIS), Equipment management and calibration (weed fumigation, equipment disinfection, pump calibration). Fulfilling as main objective the monitoring and control of black palm weevil (Cosmopolites sordidus Germar) in the Horizon farm, under the programming of the technical services department, in order to reinforce and provide feedback on the work and management of pests that can cause great losses of importance economic. ANEXOS ............................................................................................................................. 50 ................................................................................................................................................... 50Esta práctica se desarrolló en la región del Urabá – Antioqueño, en las fincas de zona sur de la empresa Agrícola Sara Palma S.A., el cual se dedica a la producción y exportación de banano de alta calidad (Premium), esta práctica consistió en la realización de seguimientos, evaluaciones, monitoreo y ensayos en el cultivo de banano (Musa AAA), en las fincas encargadas al área de servicios técnicos en zona sur, ubicadas entre los municipios de Chigorodó y Carepa pertenecientes al departamento de Antioquia. En este proceso de prácticas se realizaron capacitaciones y acompañamientos a los trabajadores en las labores culturales (Embolse, amarre, desmache, protección, guantelete y deshoje MIS), Manejo y calibración de equipos (fumigación de malezas , desinfección de equipos, calibración de bombas). Cumpliendo como objetivo principal el monitoreo y control de picudo negro (Cosmopolites sordidus Germar) en la finca horizontes, bajo la programación del departamento de servicios técnicos, con el fin de reforzar y retroalimentar las labores y manejo de plagas que pueden causar grandes pérdidas de importancia económica. Las prácticas empresariales me permitieron afianzar el conocimiento en manejo y gestión del cultivo y la industria del banano, que es de gran interés en la región del Urabá – Antioqueño, para atribuir todo lo adquirido a la vida profesional y ámbito laboral.
