Language Style in Mario Teguh Golden Ways Talk Show
This study deals with the type of language style used in Mario Teguh GoldenWays Talk Show. The objectives of this study are to find out the most types oflanguage style, to describe how the most dominant language style used and toreason for the use of the most dominant language style used by Mario Teguh inMario Teguh Golden Ways Talk Show. The study was conducted by usingdescriptive qualitative method. The data of this research were utterances of MarioTeguh in Mario Teguh Golden Ways Talk Show. The findings of this researchare the most dominant of language used by Mario Teguh in Mario Teguh GoldenWays is consultative style (60.6%) followed by casual style (32.45%), frozen style(5.2%), formal style(1.8%) and intimate style (0%). In this talk show Mario Teguhtends to use consulative style while he was speaking with the participants toprovide more explicit background information of the participant's problems. Theconsultative style in all context is used to make audiences easily understand howthe topic is going on in their life
Style Transfer in Text: Exploration and Evaluation
Style transfer is an important problem in natural language processing (NLP).
However, the progress in language style transfer is lagged behind other
domains, such as computer vision, mainly because of the lack of parallel data
and principle evaluation metrics. In this paper, we propose to learn style
transfer with non-parallel data. We explore two models to achieve this goal,
and the key idea behind the proposed models is to learn separate content
representations and style representations using adversarial networks. We also
propose novel evaluation metrics which measure two aspects of style transfer:
transfer strength and content preservation. We access our models and the
evaluation metrics on two tasks: paper-news title transfer, and
positive-negative review transfer. Results show that the proposed content
preservation metric is highly correlate to human judgments, and the proposed
models are able to generate sentences with higher style transfer strength and
similar content preservation score comparing to auto-encoder.Comment: To appear in AAAI-1
PENGGUNAAN GAYA BAHASA DALAM LIRIK LAGU PADI (DITINJAU DARI SEGI BENTUK, FUNGSI DAN MAKNA)
Song or hymn is sung poetry. In the song there is exposure to the language used by composer (songwriter) to express thoughts, feelings and desires. Data on exposure to language in the song form of words. The words are selected and prepared by a composer (songwriter) with a certain style of language for effect so that the beauty of the song to be interesting. Thus, it can be said that the song is one form of literature. As one form of literary works, songs worthy of being the object of research. Research on Rice song had previously been done, but not in terms of style but in terms of diction and images that focus research in terms of structure. This study aimed to describe the style of language in the song Paddy terms of form, function and meaning. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data in this study the use of language in the song style rice, which indicates the use of these three aspects, namely: form, function and meaning of language style. Sources of data in this study as album Rice who were 8 songs are scattered in the album: Another World, Something Delayed, Save My Soul and Rice. Source data from the delepan Rice song in question can be raised: (1) So Beautiful from the album (Another World), (2) Give It To Me from the album (Another World), (3) Breed from the album (Something Pending) , (4) Fragile from the album (Save My Soul), (5) Prologue from the album Rice (6) All The Same from the album (Something Pending), (7) On top of the album Our Earth Rests (Save My Soul), and (8) Not The Only One from the album (Rice). In this study, the researcher acted as a key instrument or instruments which is the main instrument in the form penjaring researchers used data. This is done because the researchers directly conduct research on Rice song. Data collection techniques in this study are (1) read the text on the cover of the song Paddy tape, (2) transcribe data by writing the data obtained from the album Rice (3) mengidentivikasikan stylistic usage data based on the form, function and meaning of the 8 songs scattered in 4 albums are: LainDunia, matches the Delayed, Save My Soul and Rice, then inserted into the table. The data processing techniques: (1) identification by way of text rechecked Rice lyrics in the cover tape (2) classification of form, function and meaning, then inserted into the table penjaring data (3) interpretation (4) the conclusion of data. The results of data analysis shows that in the song there Padi (1) stylistic comparisons include: (a) personification, (b) metaphors, (c) anticipation or prolepsis, (d) allegory, (e) redundancy and (f) perifrasis. (2) The style clash language contained in the song Paddy is hyperbole. Thus the relatively small Rice song contains stylistic contradictions. (3) Style linkage language contained in the song that is epitet Rice. Therefore relatively small Rice songs contain language style linkage. And (4) style looping among which: (a) asonansi, (c) anaphora, (d) tautotes, (e) epizeukis, (f) simplok, and (h) epanalepsis. Then in terms of its function in the song Paddy contain more emotive functions and functions of religion is found only slightly. In this case, other functions such as educational and social functions not found in the song Paddy, because the songs tend to be themed romance Rice more nuanced romance. This is what affects the meaning\ud
of style in the song love theme Rice is more likely, because in love there is a conflict, betrayal at a time of sacrifice
Ada style guide (version 1.1)
Ada is a programming language of considerable expressive power. The Ada Language Reference Manual provides a thorough definition of the language. However, it does not offer sufficient guidance on the appropriate use of Ada's powerful features. For this reason, the Goddard Space Flight Center Ada User's Group has produced this style guide which addresses such program style issues. The guide covers three areas of Ada program style: the structural decomposition of a program; the coding and the use of specific Ada features; and the textural formatting of a program
Three Approaches to Generating Texts in Different Styles
Natural Language Generation (nlg) systems generate texts in English and other human languages from non-linguistic input data. Usually there are a large number of possible texts that can communicate the input data, and nlg systems must choose one of these. We argue that style can be used by nlg systems to choose between possible texts, and explore how this can be done by (1) explicit stylistic parameters, (2) imitating a genre style, and (3) imitating an individual’s style
CREOLE: a Universal Language for Creating, Requesting, Updating and Deleting Resources
In the context of Service-Oriented Computing, applications can be developed
following the REST (Representation State Transfer) architectural style. This
style corresponds to a resource-oriented model, where resources are manipulated
via CRUD (Create, Request, Update, Delete) interfaces. The diversity of CRUD
languages due to the absence of a standard leads to composition problems
related to adaptation, integration and coordination of services. To overcome
these problems, we propose a pivot architecture built around a universal
language to manipulate resources, called CREOLE, a CRUD Language for Resource
Edition. In this architecture, scripts written in existing CRUD languages, like
SQL, are compiled into Creole and then executed over different CRUD interfaces.
After stating the requirements for a universal language for manipulating
resources, we formally describe the language and informally motivate its
definition with respect to the requirements. We then concretely show how the
architecture solves adaptation, integration and coordination problems in the
case of photo management in Flickr and Picasa, two well-known service-oriented
applications. Finally, we propose a roadmap for future work.Comment: In Proceedings FOCLASA 2010, arXiv:1007.499
