The audit for the improvement of quality in health is a systematic and continuous element of evaluation and improvement of the quality observed with respect to the expected quality of the care received by users; The Colombian political constitution establishes the right to health as fundamental, that is, inherent to people and mandatory. This monograph seeks to compile the available documentary information on the role of health auditing in the quality assurance system and the protection of users' rights; For this purpose, a systematic review of scientific documents was carried out in two successive phases: heuristics or search and selection and the hermeneutics known as assimilation or writing of the texts by the authors. Little documentary material was obtained in which this important topic is addressed, which makes this area a wide field for future research. BIBLIOGRAFÍA……………………………………………………………………..54La auditoría para el mejoramiento de la calidad en salud es un elemento sistemático y continuo de evaluación y mejoramiento de la calidad observada respecto de la calidad esperada de la atención que reciben los usuarios; la constitución política colombiana, establece el derecho a la salud como fundamental, es decir, inherente a las personas y de obligatorio cumplimiento. Con la presente monografía se busca compilar la información documental disponible sobre el papel de la auditoria en salud en el sistema de garantía de la calidad y la protección de los derechos de los usuarios; para tal fin se realizó una revisión sistemática de documentos científicos en dos fases sucesivas: heurística o de búsqueda y selección y la hermenéutica conocida como asimilación o redacción de los textos por los autores. Se obtuvo poco material documental en el que se aborde esta importante temática, lo que hace esta área un amplio campo para futuras investigaciones. Para que la auditoria frente al sistema de garantía de la calidad y los derechos de los usuarios sea efectiva, debe ser considerada como una herramienta valiosa no sólo en términos de corrección sino de prevención, en la medida que se realicen más procesos de auditoría se disminuirá la probabilidad de cometer errores, que impactan tanto aspectos institucionales aisladas como el ciclo de vida de la persona que accede a un servicio en salud.EspecializaciónEspecialista en Auditoria de la Calidad en SaludMonografía
