Oriented Fractal Scaling Component Analysis (OFSCA).Disturbance of balance - short-term or permanent inability to control the position
of the body in space, manifested by unsteady gait, unexpected falls, swaying, and
impaired coordination.
Balance is the ability to keep the center of mass of the body above the support
base. Three main sensory systems are involved in balance and posture: the vision
system, the vestibular system, the somatosensory system.
Studies of balance function, proprioceptive system, visual analyzer, vestibular
apparatus and other body functions directly or indirectly related to maintaining balance
are widely used in medicine and sports.
Stabilometry is a method of researching the state of the vestibular system, which
is carried out using an apparatus for recording fluctuations of the projection of the
center of mass of a person on the plane of support, signal transformation and real-time
transmission of measurement data for decoding and analysis in a processing unit
(computer), with the aim of obtaining objective information for the diagnosis and
assessment of the conditions of the motor-coordination sphere, the system of spatial
orientation, as well as for the purpose of carrying out restorative treatment, or training,
or special functional tests.
Detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) is used to study the behavior of the time
series of the position of the center of pressure COP based on the activity of the human
postural control system.
In thesis considers a new class of mixed oscillations with different directions and
features of fractal scaling as a model for anisotropic two-dimensional (2D) trajectories,
which occur mainly in complex systems. In order to decompose such similar mixed
oscillations into orthogonally oriented components, was developed an analysis of
oriented fractal scale components (OFSCA).
The DMA algorithm propose as an alternative method for quantifying long-
range correlations.
The purpose and aim of the experiment was to determine the balance of the
human body and the position of the center of mass of the body. The experiment was
conducted on the basis of the National University of Physical Education and Sport of
Ukraine in a special laboratory. Athletes of different skill levels took part in the
experiment. As a result of the experiment, it was necessary to find out how the training
and level of the athlete affects the position of the center of mass, and how the position
depends on the various exercises during which this result is recorded.
Parameters are fixed using the Wii board. Everyone who participates in the
experiment must get up on the platform and start performing the exercises specified by
a particular experiment for a certain time, to fix the necessary parameters. After
receiving the results, perform only their processing using selected method Oriented
Fractal Scaling Component Analysis (OFSCA).
During the experiment, files were obtained with data on the position of the center
of mass of the person when performing the specified exercises.
To analyze the obtained exponents during the calculation in the experimental
part, the t-test and t-test of Wilcoxon were performe
майбутньому);
зв’язку;
сигналів;
- розпізнавання зображень та їх покращення;

interpolation) of functions and signals often appears to researchers and engineers in
various fields of science and technology. These areas, as well as the set of methods for
the approximation of functions, are quite wide and varied. They are used in
mathematical calculations (most often in economics and sociology), for mathematical
modeling (for example, prediction), in the design of equipment, systems of technical
vision, high-quality medical equipment, as well as systems of multi-class diagnostics.
In connection with this, the main tasks of data approximation in all the above
cases are:
• finding a mathematical description for discrete data (establishing an analytical
dependence between measured signal samples for further prediction of possible
values of the measured value in the future);
• recovery of lost data in the transmission of signals due to the presence of
resistance in the electric wire or the loss of packets when transmitted through
optical communication lines;
• restoring output data in the process of encoding and decoding signals;
• image recognition and enhancement;
• recovery when archiving and compressing data.
Consequently, the problem of accurate approximation of measured data is very
relevant in our time.
Relationship of work with scientific programs, plans, themes. Researches
carried out in the dissertation are connected with research work, among which:
"Methodology of multiclass diagnostics of complex spatial objects.
The purpose of the dissertation is to develop algorithms and software for the
approximation of measured data with the help of preliminary use of interpolation
algorithms, as well as recommendations for its effective use in systems of multi-class
diagnostics.
Achieving the goal involves solving the following tasks:
• review and select the method for data approximation for a multi-class
diagnostic system;
• review of existing interpolation methods;
• research of the efficiency of interpolation algorithms using ideal (simulated)
signals of different physical nature;
• development of algorithmic support for data approximation at the expense of
preliminary use of interpolation methods;
• development of data approximation software in the MATLAB mathematical
package or in other programming languages;
• development of recommendations for the effective use of the developed
software in systems of multi-class diagnostics.
The object of the study is the process of approximation of the measured by
multi-class diagnostic systems data.
The subject of the study is the improvement of existing algorithms for data
approximation, increasing their accuracy due to the previous use of interpolation
algorithms.
Research methods – mathematical modeling of processes in the software
environment of the MATLAB package for the study of the use of interpolation
algorithms for the approximation of measured by multiclass diagnostic systems data.
The scientific novelty of the dissertation is as follows:
• improved the method of data approximation by splitting the initial signal into
segments of equal length, adjusting the approximated data at the junctions of adjacent
segments, and also selecting (by comparing the determination coefficient) the best
polynomial (from the first to the fifth order) for approximation;
• The method of data approximation is improved by using interpolation
algorithms to adjust the length of the original signal.
The practical significance of the obtained results is determined by the
development of algorithms and software based on the developed techniques,
recommendations and mathematical models that can be used in the component blocks
of multi-class diagnostic systems. Recommendations on effective use of the developed
software in systems of multiclass diagnostics are developed
