Joint Transceiver Design Algorithms for Multiuser MISO Relay Systems with Energy Harvesting
In this paper, we investigate a multiuser relay system with simultaneous
wireless information and power transfer. Assuming that both base station (BS)
and relay station (RS) are equipped with multiple antennas, this work studies
the joint transceiver design problem for the BS beamforming vectors, the RS
amplify-and-forward transformation matrix and the power splitting (PS) ratios
at the single-antenna receivers. Firstly, an iterative algorithm based on
alternating optimization (AO) and with guaranteed convergence is proposed to
successively optimize the transceiver coefficients. Secondly, a novel design
scheme based on switched relaying (SR) is proposed that can significantly
reduce the computational complexity and overhead of the AO based designs while
maintaining a similar performance. In the proposed SR scheme, the RS is
equipped with a codebook of permutation matrices. For each permutation matrix,
a latent transceiver is designed which consists of BS beamforming vectors,
optimally scaled RS permutation matrix and receiver PS ratios. For the given
CSI, the optimal transceiver with the lowest total power consumption is
selected for transmission. We propose a concave-convex procedure based and
subgradient-type iterative algorithms for the non-robust and robust latent
transceiver designs. Simulation results are presented to validate the
effectiveness of all the proposed algorithms
Power allocation for coordinated multi-cell systems with imperfect channel and battery-capacity-limited receivers
This letter studies the transmit power allocation in downlink coordinated multi-cell systems with the batterycapacity-limited receivers, where the battery level of receivers is considered. The power allocation is formulated as an optimization problem to maximize the minimum signal-to-interference noise ratio of users under the per-base station power constraints and the feasible maximum received data rate constraints determined by the receiver battery level. The optimal solutions are derived by the proposed monotonic optimization technique based algorithm. The proposed algorithm can extend the battery lifetime of the receivers with lower battery level. Simulation results illustrate the performance of the proposed algorithm
Performance of Transmit Antenna Selection in Multiple Input Multiple Output-Orthogonal Space Time Block Code (MIMO-OSTBC) System Joint with Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH)-Turbo Code (TC) in Rayleigh Fading Channel
To enhancing the performance of spatial modulation (SM) systems TAS (Transmit antenna selection) technique need to be essential. This TAS is an effective technique for reducing the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems computational difficulty and Bit error rate (BER) can increase remarkably by various TAS algorithms. But these selection methods cannot provide code gain, so it is essential to join the TAS with external code to obtain code gain advantages in BER. In some existing work, the improved BER has been perceived by joining Forward Error Correction Code (FEC) and Space Time Block Code (STBC) for MIMO systems provided greater code gain. A multiple TAS-OSTBC technique with new integration of Bose–Chaudhuri–Hocquenghem (BCH)-Turbo code (TC) is proposed in our paper. With external BCH code in sequence with the inner Turbo code, the TAS-OSTBC system is joining. This combination can provide increasing code gain and the effective advantages of the TAS-OSTBC system. To perform the system analysis Rayleigh channel is utilized. In the case with multiple TAS-OSTBC systems, better performance can provide by this new joint of the BCH-Turbo compared to the conventional Turbo code for the Rayleigh fading
