Interatomic forces, phonons, the Foreman-Lomer Theorem and the Blackman Sum Rule

Foreman and Lomer proposed in 1957 a method of estimating the harmonic forces between parallel planes of atoms of primitive cubic crystals by Fourier transforming the squared frequencies of phonons propagating along principal directions. A generalized form of this theorem is derived in this paper and it is shown that it is more appropriate to apply the method to certain combinations of the phonon dispersion relations rather than to individual dispersion relations themselves. Further, it is also shown how the method may be extended to the non-primitive hexagonal close packed and diamond lattices. Explicit, exact and general relations in terms of atomic force constants are found for deviations from the Blackman sum rule which itself is shown to be derived from the generalized Foreman-Lomer theorem.Comment: 13 pages pd

This research aims to know the harvest foreman leadership style, motivation and performance level of harvesters, relation between harvest foreman leadership style and performance of harvester, relation between work motivation of harvesters and performance of harvester, and relation between harvest foreman leadership style and work motivation of harvesters. This research was conducted by survey method at PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII UKKS Rejosari Natar of South Lampung. The research samples consisted of 50 people who were drawn from the population by proporsional random sampling. The data was collected from June to July 2015 and analyzed by descriptive and rank spearman correlation analysis. The results showed as follows. The harvest foreman leadership style was democratic leadership style. The work motivation of harvesters was in high category. The performance of harvesters was in high category. The leadership style of harvest foreman was related to the performance of harvesters. The work motivation of harvesters was related to the performance of harvesters. This article examines a different type of person—Neville Foreman, an insurance clerk and family man who lived in the unfashionable Clapton district of Hackney, East London. Several years’ correspondence between Foreman and Crowley sheds light on the profile of a Crowley acolyte from a more conventional background. Whilst Foreman was no bohemian, this lower-middle class office clerk was nonetheless an esoteric seeker. Pengaruh Pengetahuan, Keterampilan, Motivasi dan Kompensasi terhadap Kinerja Mandor Sadap di PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII (Persero)

The research aims to determine the performance of the foreman and the influence of the knowledge, skills, motivation and compensation to performance of the foreman. The method used was census method and use primary and secondary data. The primary data obtained from questionnaires that has been analyzed their validity and reliability to the respondents through direct interviews and secondary data obtained from the literature and related agencies. Data collection was conducted from August to September 2013. The data was analyzed descriptively and verificatively with double linier regression and the data has been analyzed their Successive Interval Method. The results showed that (1) performance of the foreman tapping has the best, (2) knowledge, skills, motivation, and compensation influenced to performance of foreman tapping simultansly while knowledge, skills, and motivation influenced to performance of foreman tapping in PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII, Kedaton Unit Business and Way Berulu Unit Business partially
