A Constrained Object Model for Configuration Based Workflow Composition
Automatic or assisted workflow composition is a field of intense research for
applications to the world wide web or to business process modeling. Workflow
composition is traditionally addressed in various ways, generally via theorem
proving techniques. Recent research observed that building a composite workflow
bears strong relationships with finite model search, and that some workflow
languages can be defined as constrained object metamodels . This lead to
consider the viability of applying configuration techniques to this problem,
which was proven feasible. Constrained based configuration expects a
constrained object model as input. The purpose of this document is to formally
specify the constrained object model involved in ongoing experiments and

Snapshot Semantics for Temporal Multiset Relations (Extended Version)
Snapshot semantics is widely used for evaluating queries over temporal data:
temporal relations are seen as sequences of snapshot relations, and queries are
evaluated at each snapshot. In this work, we demonstrate that current
approaches for snapshot semantics over interval-timestamped multiset relations
are subject to two bugs regarding snapshot aggregation and bag difference. We
introduce a novel temporal data model based on K-relations that overcomes these
bugs and prove it to correctly encode snapshot semantics. Furthermore, we
present an efficient implementation of our model as a database middleware and
demonstrate experimentally that our approach is competitive with native
implementations and significantly outperforms such implementations on queries

Minimal Negation in the Ternary Relational Semantics
Minimal Negation is defined within the basic positive relevance logic in the relational ternary semantics: B+. Thus, by defining a number of subminimal negations in the B+ context, principles of weak negation are shown to be isolable. Complete ternary semantics are offered for minimal negation in B+. Certain forms of reductio are conjectured to be undefinable (in ternary frames) without extending the positive logic. Complete semantics for such kinds of reductio in a properly extended positive logic are offered
Relational parametricity for higher kinds
Reynolds’ notion of relational parametricity has been extremely influential and well studied for polymorphic programming languages and type theories based on System F. The extension of relational parametricity to higher kinded polymorphism, which allows quantification over type operators as well as types, has not received as much attention. We present a model of relational parametricity for System Fω, within the impredicative Calculus of Inductive Constructions, and show how it forms an instance of a general class of models defined by Hasegawa. We investigate some of the consequences of our model and show that it supports the definition of inductive types, indexed by an arbitrary kind, and with reasoning principles provided by initiality
