    Estado auditivo, respiratorio y fonatorio de conductores de transporte urbano

    The aim of the study was to determine the status hearing, breathing and phonation and the relationship with sociodemographic and communication in urbanwanderers of a transport company in the city of Popayan factors 2013. The population consisted of 126 transporters.A descriptive study of transverse, quantitative cut was made. They were used as instruments clinical history, audiometry, assessment of respiratory function and vocal profile Wilson. The data analysis was performed using SPSS version 20. Results: a slight lev auditory sensory hearing loss was found in 27% of the population; onthe respiratory status presented altered in 39.7%, no significant phonation disorders were observed. On the other hand, being older than 30 years increased by 5.1 times the risk of hearing loss, and work more than 10 years as conductor increases the risk of impaired auditory function in 2.8 times; also work more than 8hours a day increases the risk of hearing loss in 2.0 times. Having otologic history shows a 3.3 times increased risk of hearing loss. Finally, have a history fonatorios increased 2.7 times the risk of causing changes in respiratory status and 3.5 times the risk of changes in the perceptual characteristics of the voice. Conclusion:The study results allow to establish changes in the state of communication in the study population, especially in hearing and breathing, which can significantly affect their work, family and social performance. Although no statistical significance was found regarding respiratory status and phonation, it is necessary to take preventivemeasures to prevent its occurrence.El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el estado de la audici贸n, respiraci贸n y fonaci贸n y la relaci贸n con los factores sociodemogr谩ficos y de comunicaci贸n en trasportadores urbanos de una empresa de transporte en la ciudad de Popay谩n 2013. La poblaci贸n estuvo conformada por 126 trasportadores. Se realiz贸 un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, cuantitativo. Se utilizaron como instrumentos la historia cl铆nica, la audiometr铆a tonal, la evaluaci贸n de la funci贸n respiratoria y el perfil vocal Wilson. El an谩lisis de los datos se realiz贸 mediante el programa SPSS versi贸n 20. Resultados: a nivel auditivo se encontr贸 hipoacusia sensorial leve en un 27% de la poblaci贸n; sobre el estado respiratorio se present贸 alterado en 39,7%, no se observaron trastornos de fonaci贸n significativos. Por otro lado, el ser mayores de audici贸n, y trabajar m谩s de 10 a帽os como conductor aumenta el riesgo de alteraci贸n de la funci贸n auditiva en 2,8 veces. Tener antecedentes fonatorios aumentan un 2,7 veces el riesgo de causar cambios en el estado respiratorio y 3,5 veces el riesgo de cambios en las caracter铆sticas perceptuales de la voz. Conclusi贸n: los resultados del estudio permiten establecer los cambios en el estado de la comunicaci贸n en la poblaci贸n objeto de estudio, especialmente en la audici贸n y la respiraci贸n, que pueden afectar significativamente su trabajo, la familia y el desempe帽o social
