Security plays a vital role during the transmission of private data from one sender to the other. Although there are many security algorithms implemented but here we are providing the security algorithms on the RFID devices. The authentication techniques implemented in RFID is based on the new algorithm based on smart cards. The data send through the tags can be made secure using the proposed algorithm so that the un-authorised users can2019;t access the data without any further unique numbers

Security and Privacy Issues in Wireless Mesh Networks: A Survey

This book chapter identifies various security threats in wireless mesh network (WMN). Keeping in mind the critical requirement of security and user privacy in WMNs, this chapter provides a comprehensive overview of various possible attacks on different layers of the communication protocol stack for WMNs and their corresponding defense mechanisms. First, it identifies the security vulnerabilities in the physical, link, network, transport, application layers. Furthermore, various possible attacks on the key management protocols, user authentication and access control protocols, and user privacy preservation protocols are presented. After enumerating various possible attacks, the chapter provides a detailed discussion on various existing security mechanisms and protocols to defend against and wherever possible prevent the possible attacks. Comparative analyses are also presented on the security schemes with regards to the cryptographic schemes used, key management strategies deployed, use of any trusted third party, computation and communication overhead involved etc. The chapter then presents a brief discussion on various trust management approaches for WMNs since trust and reputation-based schemes are increasingly becoming popular for enforcing security in wireless networks. A number of open problems in security and privacy issues for WMNs are subsequently discussed before the chapter is finally concluded.Comment: 62 pages, 12 figures, 6 tables. This chapter is an extension of the author's previous submission in arXiv submission: arXiv:1102.1226. There are some text overlaps with the previous submissio

A Study On Secure Data Storage In Public Clouds

    Get PDF
This paper focuses on the study of various existing cloud storage mechanisms with their related security frameworks for realizing the efficient cloud storage in a secured environment. The key feature for the growing popularity of cloud computing relies on the efficient management of stored data in a highly secure way for remote accessing. Ensuring the integrity and availability of user’s data stored in the cloud has always been an important aspect for its quality of service. While storing data in cloud, lots of issues with respect to security are being cropping out as clients have no direct physical control over their outsourced data. In addition, their vulnerabilities to external threats are increasing as cloud provides storage and accessing services via world-wide domain networking. This study will help in identifying different performance measures for secure available of data in cloud storage mechanisms

Innovative Remote user Authentication Protocol for Multi-Server Structural Design Based on ECC

We have achieved an era where preferred web services are accessible over the networks by click of a button. In such a situation, remote user authentication performs the most part in determining the genuine users of a web service on the World Wide Web. Scientists have suggested a number of security password centered authentication techniques which depend on single server for authentication. But, with remarkable improvements in technology, it is probable to interact with several web servers in authenticating their clients to experience greater protection. In this paper, we recommend an efficient security password centered authentication protocol for multiserver structure. The method provides common authentication using intelligent card and is depending on Elliptic Curve Cryptography, thus offers best protection at a low price. In 2011, Sood et al. suggested a multi-server structure protocol utilizing smart cards. In this papers, we enhance Sood et al. plan by improving its protection and decreasing the computation cost. The protocol is in accordance with the idea of powerful identification that uses a nonce centered system and has no time synchronization issue. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15062
