Abstract — Mobile ad hoc networking technologies have increasingly been applied to civilian applications, and the requirements of providing better services in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are growing, accordingly. However, the natures of MANET, which are highly dynamic topologies and possibly high bit error rate of links, raise many challenges in developing efficient, reliable and scalable protocols for MANETs. Especially, routing protocols for MANETs are significantly different from traditional routing protocols. In this paper we propose a threshold-based hybrid routing protocol that supports a mobile node to selectively run the routing protocol based on its velocity. In addition, the proposed routing protocol and several typical MANET routing protocols are theoretically analyzed. I

Current issues and challenges to achieve resilience and survivability is also presented for future direction

A Novel Energy Efficient Routing for Data Intensive MANETs

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) consist of a collection of wireless mobile nodes which dynamically exchange data among themselves without the need of fixed infrastructure or a wired backbone network. Routing protocol scheme for wireless networks are support by two essential requirements, minimize energy metrics or maximize network throughput. In this paper we propose a proactive source routing protocol with multipath routing facility. This multipath routing is established reactively. Owing to the inconsistency of the wireless infrastructure and nodes mobility, single path routing protocols causes performance degradation in mobile networks. Multi path routing protocol enhances the end-to-end throughput and offers load balancing in MANETs.Energy consumption in MANET is one of the important issues in this research. Reliable data delivery in MANET consumes lot of energy. Here we use a data aggregation technique along with multipath routing. As data communication involves heavy energy consumption, reducing the number of data transmissions helps in energy conservation. The performance analysis and simulation are carried out using Network Simulator-2. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15084

Discovering service dependencies in mobile ad hoc networks

The combination of service-oriented applications, with their run-time service binding, and mobile ad hoc networks, with their transient communication topologies, brings a new level of complex dynamism to the structure and behavior of software systems. This complexity challenges our ability to understand the dependence relationships among system components when performing analyses such as fault localization and impact analysis. Current methods of dynamic dependence discovery, developed for use in xed networks, assume that dependencies change slowly. Moreover, they require relatively long monitoring periods as well as substantial memory and communication resources, which are impractical in the mobile ad hoc network environment. We describe a new method, designed speci cally for this environment, that allows the engineer to trade accuracy against cost, yielding dynamic snapshots of dependence relationships. Through extensive simulations, we evaluate the performance of our method in terms of the accuracy of the discovered dependencies, and draw insights on the selection of critical parameters under various operational conditions

Deployment of Mobile Ad-hoc Network Ticket Based QoS Routing Protocol for Healthcare

A Mobile Adhoc Network comprises of set of portable hosts which are equipped for corresponding with one another with no aid of base stations. MANET are quick evolving topology, broad exploration is going ahead to outline directing conventions for MANETs. The Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector convention concerns with most limited way steering and changing the courses powerfully in work space. Quality of Service (QoS) prerequisite issues are less tended to in MANETs and the motivation behind this paper is to address QoS directing in a MANET domain and concentrate principally on ticket based QoS steering convention to figure out course fulfilling certain data transmission and delay obliges. The essential thought is to utilize tickets to keep the quantity of route searching packets to abstain from flooding and to make courses progressively to accomplish proficient Quality of Service

A range of efficient control of vehicles has grown together with information and communication tools In scrupulous, with the appliance of wireless network for real world information offering, it has been feasible to create Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET), an intellectual vehicle service for ease and protection, which does feasible crash accident detection and prevention, caution of hazardous aspects on road, traffic information offering, and other types of service offering. Nevertheless, the VANET service situation has physical and technical vulnerabilities sourced by the vehicular inside/outside communication based on wireless network. Thus, Vehicular protection has become known as a crucial aspect to avert malevolent threats and confidentiality defiance from vehicles, drivers, and traffic network. In this paper we proposed a scheme for discovering the routing mischief of an attacker aligned with traffic jamming. Now if the congestions take place in a particular section then in that case all vehicular nodes would produce the traffic jam indications known as Jamming declaration indications to their fellow vehicles and through that the vehicular node would modify their direction. Performances of outcomes are calculated on the basis of parameters: Packet Delivery Ratio, Routing Load and Throughput using Network Simulator (NS-2). The Fog Makes Sense: Enabling Social Sensing Services With Limited Internet Connectivity

Social sensing services use humans as sensor carriers, sensor operators and sensors themselves in order to provide situation-awareness to applications. This promises to provide a multitude of benefits to the users, for example in the management of natural disasters or in community empowerment. However, current social sensing services depend on Internet connectivity since the services are deployed on central Cloud platforms. In many circumstances, Internet connectivity is constrained, for instance when a natural disaster causes Internet outages or when people do not have Internet access due to economical reasons. In this paper, we propose the emerging Fog Computing infrastructure to become a key-enabler of social sensing services in situations of constrained Internet connectivity. To this end, we develop a generic architecture and API of Fog-enabled social sensing services. We exemplify the usage of the proposed social sensing architecture on a number of concrete use cases from two different scenarios.Comment: Ruben Mayer, Harshit Gupta, Enrique Saurez, and Umakishore Ramachandran. 2017.
