Planning and Design Soa Architecture Blueprint
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a framework for integrating business processes and supporting IT infrastructure as secure, standardized components-services-that can be reused and combined to address changing business priorities. Services are the building blocks of SOA and new applications can be constructed through consuming these services and orchestrating services within a business process. In SOA, services map to the business functions that are identified during business process analysis. Upon a successful implementation of SOA, the enterprise gain benefit by reducing development time, utilizing flexible and responsive application structure, and following dynamic connectivity of application logics between business partners. SOA, SoBI & EDA - Paradigms for Integration Capabilities of BI Platform
A Business Intelligence (BI) provider may offer a basic solution, a packed application or a comprising BI platform which integrates components from individual technologies in a synergic system. The providers’ tendency is to standardize the instruments offered on a single server platform. The article analyzes the integration capabilities and problems of BI platforms, emphasizes the differences between emergent technologies and suggests integration solutions. The analysis is useful both to the providers of BI solutions - in order to develop some agile platforms, as well as to their users - representing an important factor in selecting the solution. The technologies supporting future business must be intuitive from a user standpoint, flexible from design standpoint and highly productive. As an answer to many requirements, analysts recommend the inclusion of SOA and ESB in the IT management strategies, since these tend to become mainstream, overcoming their abstract vision status in the last decade. A service oriented approach for guidelines-based clinical decision support using BPMN
Evidence-based medical practice requires that clinical guidelines need to be documented in such a way that they represent a clinical workflow in its most accessible form. In order to optimize clinical processes to improve clinical outcomes, we propose a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based approach for implementing clinical guidelines that can be accessed from an Electronic Health Record (EHR) application with a Web Services enabled communication mechanism with the Enterprise Service Bus. We have used Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) for modelling and presenting the clinical pathway in the form of a workflow. The aim of this study is to produce spontaneous alerts in the healthcare workflow in the diagnosis of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The use of BPMN as a tool to automate clinical guidelines has not been previously employed for providing Clinical Decision Support (CDS)
A standards-based ICT framework to enable a service-oriented approach to clinical decision support
This research provides evidence that standards based Clinical Decision Support (CDS)
at the point of care is an essential ingredient of electronic healthcare service delivery. A
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based solution is explored, that serves as a task
management system to coordinate complex distributed and disparate IT systems,
processes and resources (human and computer) to provide standards based CDS.
This research offers a solution to the challenges in implementing computerised CDS such
as integration with heterogeneous legacy systems. Reuse of components and services to
reduce costs and save time. The benefits of a sharable CDS service that can be reused by
different healthcare practitioners to provide collaborative patient care is demonstrated.
This solution provides orchestration among different services by extracting data from
sources like patient databases, clinical knowledge bases and evidence-based clinical
guidelines (CGs) in order to facilitate multiple CDS requests coming from different
healthcare settings. This architecture aims to aid users at different levels of Healthcare
Delivery Organizations (HCOs) to maintain a CDS repository, along with monitoring and
managing services, thus enabling transparency.
The research employs the Design Science research methodology (DSRM) combined with
The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), an open source group initiative for
Enterprise Architecture Framework (EAF). DSRM’s iterative capability addresses the
rapidly evolving nature of workflows in healthcare. This SOA based solution uses
standards-based open source technologies and platforms, the latest healthcare standards
by HL7 and OMG, Decision Support Service (DSS) and Retrieve, Update Locate Service
(RLUS) standard. Combining business process management (BPM) technologies,
business rules with SOA ensures the HCO’s capability to manage its processes. This
architectural solution is evaluated by successfully implementing evidence based CGs at
the point of care in areas such as; a) Diagnostics (Chronic Obstructive Disease), b) Urgent
Referral (Lung Cancer), c) Genome testing and integration with CDS in screening
(Lynch’s syndrome). In addition to medical care, the CDS solution can benefit
organizational processes for collaborative care delivery by connecting patients,
physicians and other associated members. This framework facilitates integration of
different types of CDS ideal for the different healthcare processes, enabling sharable CDS
capabilities within and across organizations

these are university student cards, company employee identification cards, the citizen card or driving license.
However, as these applications grow in popularity and complexity, new requirements and needs arise that
need to be addressed without disturbing the normal behavior of the application.
Often the data needed to provide an authentication service is spread across multiple servers, which need to
be integrated. This becomes more complicated and complex when an application provides more than one form
of authentication (a driving license and a student card require data provided by different services).
In this dissertation we are going to look for solutions that allow to develop an architecture that is prepared
to integrate new services at runtime and allows the management of the system, maintaining its dynamic and
independence from third parties, regardless of the technology and form of communication used by them.
So, this dissertation presents the state of the art regarding the integration of multiple service providers and the
design and implementation a proposed solution, using the WSO2 products to do so. This process is performed
in the context of the mobile ID, that is a implementation of a mobile driving license based on the ISO/IEC 18013-5:2021.São cada vez mais evidentes os benefícios do uso de aplicações de identificação móvel como substitutos aos
documentos físicos, sejam estes cartões de estudantes universitários, cartões de identificação de funcionários
de empresas, o cartão de cidadão ou a carta de condução.
No entanto, à medida que estas aplicações se tornam mais populares e mais complexas, surgem novas ex igências e necessidades que precisam de ser colmatadas sem perturbar o normal funcionamento da aplicação.
Muitas vezes os atributos necessários para fornecer um serviço de identificação encontram-se distribuídos por
múltiplos servidores, que necessitam de ser integrados. Isto torna-se mais complicado e complexo quando uma
aplicação disponibiliza mais de uma forma de identificação (uma carta de condução e um cartão de estudante
requerem dados fornecidos por multiplos e diferentes serviços).
Nesta dissertação vamos procurar soluções que permitam desenvolver uma arquitetura que esteja preparada
para integrar novos serviços em runtime e permitir toda a gestão do sistema, mantendo a aplicação dinâmica
e independente de entidades terceiras, independentemente da tecnologia e forma de comunicação usada pelo
serviço.
Assim, nesta dissertação é apresentado o estado da arte relativamente à integração de múltiplos fornece dores de serviço e o design e implementação da solução proposta, utilizando os produtos do WSO2 para fazê lo. Todo este processo é realizado no contexto do mobile ID, que é uma implementação da carta de condução
