Synchronization of Neural Networks with Mixed Time Delays under Information Constraints

    Get PDF
This paper investigates the synchronization problem of neural networks with mixed time delays under information constrains. The designed synchronization scheme is built on the framework of hybrid systems. Besides including nonuniform sampling, some other characteristics, such as quantization, transmission-induced delays, and data packet dropouts, are also considered. The sufficient condition that depended on network characteristics is obtained to guarantee the remote asymptotical synchronization of neural networks with mixed time delays. A numerical example is given to illustrate the validity of the proposed method

Exponential synchronization for reaction-diffusion neural networks with mixed time-varying delays via periodically intermittent control

    Get PDF
This paper deals with the exponential synchronization problem for reaction-diffusion neural networks with mixed time-varying delays and stochastic disturbance. By using stochastic analysis approaches and constructing a novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, a periodically intermittent controller is first proposed to guarantee the exponential synchronization of reaction-diffusion neural networks with mixed time-varying delays and stochastic disturbance in terms of p-norm. The obtained synchronization results are easy to check and improve upon the existing ones. Particularly, the traditional assumptions on control width and time-varying delays are removed in this paper. This paper also presents two illustrative examples and uses simulated results of these examples to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme

    Robust Stabilization and H

    Get PDF
This paper is concerned with the problem of robust stabilization and H∞ control for a class of uncertain neural networks. For the robust stabilization problem, sufficient conditions are derived based on the quadratic convex combination property together with Lyapunov stability theory. The feedback controller we design ensures the robust stability of uncertain neural networks with mixed time delays. We further design a robust H∞ controller which guarantees the robust stability of the uncertain neural networks with a given H∞ performance level. The delay-dependent criteria are derived in terms of LMI (linear matrix inequality). Finally, numerical examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained results

The controller is dependent on the output of the system in the case of packed circuits, since it is hard to measure the inner state of the circuits. Thus, it is critical to design the controller based on the neuron activation function. Comparing the results, in this paper, with the existing ones shows that we improve and generalize the results derived in the previous literature. Several examples are also given to illustrate the effectiveness and potential applications in image encryption

Master-Slave Synchronization of Stochastic Neural Networks with Mixed Time-Varying Delays

    Get PDF
This paper investigates the problem on master-salve synchronization for stochastic neural networks with both time-varying and distributed time-varying delays. Together with the drive-response concept, LMI approach, and generalized convex combination, one novel synchronization criterion is obtained in terms of LMIs and the condition heavily depends on the upper and lower bounds of state delay and distributed one. Moreover, the addressed systems can include some famous network models as its special cases, which means that our methods extend those present ones. Finally, two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented scheme
