Implications of Supersymmetry Phases for Higgs Boson Signals and Limits

    Get PDF
We study the supersymmetry parameter region excluded if no Higgs is found at LEP, and the region allowed if a Higgs boson is found at LEP. We describe the full seven parameter structure of Higgs sector. When supersymmetry phases are included, tanβ\tan \beta greater than or equal to 2 is always allowed, and the lower limit on lightest Higgs mass if no signal is found is about 20% lower than in the Standard Model and about 10% lower than in the MSSM with phases set to 0, π\piComment: 11 papges, 2 figure

Top and Bottom Squarks Decays under Cosmological Bounds

    Get PDF
We investigate the fermionic decays of top squarks tilde t_{1,2} and bottom squarks tilde b_{1,2}$ in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex parameters M_1, mu, A_t and A_b . In the analysis we particularly take into account the cosmological bounds imposed by WMAP data. We plot the CP phase dependences of stop and sbottom decay widths.Comment: 1 text(9 pages)and 8 figures(6 pages). Total 15 pages. Accepted to be published in Phys.Lett.

Further faunistic notes on Cozyptila and Xysticus from Turkey (Aranea, Thomisidae)

Nine recently described or poorly known species of the thomisid genera Cozyptila Lehtinen & Marusik, 2005 and Xysticus C.L. Koch, 1835 are reported from Turkey. Five species, Cozyptila blackwalli (Simon, 1875), C. thaleri Marusik & Kovblyuk, 2005, Xysticus bacurianensis Mcheidze, 1971, X. thessalicoides Wunderlich, 1995 and X. xerodermus Strand, 1913, are new records for the Turkish spider fauna. Two species, X. bacurianensis and X. xerodermus are illustrated and a distribution map is provided for the former. A few additional records are given for Greece and the Caucasian countries, of which X. bacurianensis is new for Azerbaijan

Hidden Spin-3/2 Field in the Standard Model

Here we show that a massive spin-3/2 field can hide in the SM spectrum in a way revealing itself only virtually. We study collider signatures and loop effects of this field, and determine its role in Higgs inflation and its potential as Dark Matter. We show that this spin-3/2 field has a rich linear collider phenomenology and motivates consideration of a neutrino-Higgs collider. We also show that study of Higgs inflation, dark matter and dark energy can reveal more about the neutrino and dark sector.Comment: 8 pages, 8 figures, accepted for publication in Eur. Phys. J.

The effect of supersymmetric CP phases on Chargino-Pair Production via Drell-Yan Process at the LHC

We compute the rates for pp annihilation into chargino-pairs via Drell-Yan process taking into account the effects of supersymmetric soft phases, at proton-proton collider. In particular, the phase of the mu parameter gains direct accessibility via the production of dissimilar charginos. The phases of the trilinear soft masses do not have a significant effect on the cross sections.Comment: 24 pages, 7 figure

Glycidyl-methacrylate-based electrospun mats and catalytic silver nanoparticles

    Get PDF
P(AN-GMA) and PGMA fibers coated with monodisperse silver nanoparticles have been prepared by a combination of electrospinning and electroless plating. The morphology of the electrospun fibers remains unchanged after surface hydrazination. Oxidation of hydrazine in an ammoniacal solution of AgNO3 reduces and deposits silver atoms along the fiber surface, which then coalesce to Ag particles. The size of the silver nanoparticles is varied between 20-60 nm. Since the density of the active sites for silver reduction is lower in P(AN-GAAA), a smaller particle size could be obtained. The catalytic activity of the silver nanoparticles has been confirmed
