CEA LIST Participation to the TAC 2017 Event Nugget Track

International audienceThis is the first participation of CEA LISTto the Event Nugget track. We only consideredthe English dataset. The purpose of oursubmissions was to investigate the interest ofconsidering the detection and the classificationof event mentions as two separate tasksrather than a joint task. Our baseline, whichyields our best results, is inspired from theTAC 2016 deep learning approach of (Nguyenet al., 2016b)
