The Iowa Leading Indicators Index (ILII) is a tool for monitoring the future direction of the Iowa economy and State revenues. Its eight components include an agricultural futures price index, an Iowa stock market index, average weekly manufacturing hours in Iowa, initial unemployment claims in Iowa, an Iowa new orders index, diesel fuel consumption in Iowa, residential building permits in Iowa, and the national yield spread

This study aimed to (1) information conveyed to the public regarding building permits, (2) channel information that is used to convey information building permits, (3) acceptance and understanding of the information society building permits. This study was conducted in Maros. This type of research is survey method with mixed methods approach which is a combination of qualitative methods and quantitative methods. Sampling was done by using simple random sampling of the population who are users of building permits during the year 2013-2014, while informants selected intentionally by certain considerations. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive technique. Research results show that: (1) the information submitted regarding the building permits include the prohibition to build without building permits, benefits and purpose building permits, conditions that must be met for the issuance of building permits, maintenance procedures, the time period, the fees as well as sanctions against people who violate building permit, (2) information channels used are billboards, radio, website, brochure, socialization and care workers, (3) acceptance and understanding of the information society of building permits showed a fairly good category in meaning people have to know and understand well enough the importance of building permits before starting the building activity

The objective of this study is to evalute the extent of policy effectiveness retribution building permits (IMB) in Mamuju utara regency. Data Collection was done by using observation and in-depth interviews, while the technique of data analysis include data reduction, display the data and draw conclusions and verification using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed the retribution policy performance of building permits (IMB) in Mamuju utara regency has not two aspects of evaluation criteria is performing well or which, in common criteria and the criteria accuary. While the four aspects of evaluation criteria is not maximized performance criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, Adequacy, and responsiveness. From local regulation number 27 of 2011 concering the retribution of building permits due to lack of. Socialization to the people who made the implementor. lack of supervision and weak enforecement of sanctions for people who violate the provisions of the policy of building permit retribution

Bio-inspired analog parallel array processor chip with programmable spatio-temporal dynamics

    Get PDF
A bio-inspired model for an analog parallel array processor (APAP), based on studies on the vertebrate retina, permits the realization of complex spatio-temporal dynamics in VLSI. This model mimics the way in which images are processed in the natural visual pathway which renders a feasible alternative for the implementation of early vision tasks in standard technologies. A prototype chip has been designed and fabricated in 0.5 /spl mu/m CMOS. Design challenges, trade-offs and the building blocks of such a high-complexity system (0.5/spl times/10/sup 6/ transistors, most of them operating in analog mode) are presented in this paper.Comisión Interministerial de Ciencia y Tecnología TIC1999-082

Space Frequency Codes from Spherical Codes

A new design method for high rate, fully diverse ('spherical') space frequency codes for MIMO-OFDM systems is proposed, which works for arbitrary numbers of antennas and subcarriers. The construction exploits a differential geometric connection between spherical codes and space time codes. The former are well studied e.g. in the context of optimal sequence design in CDMA systems, while the latter serve as basic building blocks for space frequency codes. In addition a decoding algorithm with moderate complexity is presented. This is achieved by a lattice based construction of spherical codes, which permits lattice decoding algorithms and thus offers a substantial reduction of complexity.Comment: 5 pages.
