A contribution to the knowledge of Dermestidae (Coleoptera) from Guatemala

The following five species of Dermestidae (Coleoptera) are recorded for the first time from Guatemala: Attagenus fasciatus (Thunberg), Dermestes (Dermestinus) caninus caninus Germar, Orphinus fulvipes (Guérin-Méneville), Trogoderma simplex Jayne and Thorictodes heydeni Reitter. The species are recorded from the Guatemalan departments of Petén, Izabal and Zacapa

The nematoceran fly family, Axymyiidae, is recorded from Wisconsin for the first time. A single adult female Axymyia furcata was collected in flight near a dead log along a forested path in south central Wisconsin on 24 April 2000

Taxonomic status of Bambusaspis miliaris : B. robusta, and B. pseudomiliaris (Hemiptera: Coccoidea: Asterolecaniidae)

Based on an assessment of 50 morphological characters from 110 specimens of Bambusaspis miliaris (BoisduvalI869), B. robusta (Green 1908), andB. pseudomiliaris (Green 1922) from different geographic regions around the world, we conclude that these specimens represent the same species. Therefore, the taxa B. robusta and B. pseudomiliaris are considered junior subjective synonyms of B. miliaris

List of the Lepidoptera of Black Sturgeon Lake, Northwestern Ontario, and Dates of Adult Occurrence

From May to September each year from 1960 through 1968, a collection of Lepidoptera was made at Black Sturgeon Lake, northwestern Ontario, from speci­ mens captured in a light trap and from specimens netted during the day. A total of 564 species was recorded from 70 families. A list of the species with dates of capture is presented

Identification and Distribution of \u3ci\u3eBaetisca\u3c/i\u3e Nymphs (Ephemeroptera: Baetiscidae) in Wisconsin

Nymphs of three species of Baetisca (Ephemeroptera: Baetiscidae) have been collected in Wisconsin. Baetisca laurentina was most abundant. occurring in a wide variety of streams and occasionally in impoundments. Baetisca obesa was uncommon and occured only in two large rivers, while B. lacustris was somewhat more common and inhabited medium to streams. Except for a few nymphs of B. lacustris that were collected from Green Bay on Lake Michigan, no Baetisca nymphs were found within 100 km of Lake Michigan

First Report of \u3ci\u3eAllonemobius Griseus\u3c/i\u3e and \u3ci\u3ePsinidia Fenestralis\u3c/i\u3e in Ohio (Orthoptera: Gryllidae and Acrididae)

Occurrences of Allonemobius griseus and Psinidia fenestralis in Ohio are pub- lished for the first time. Apparent restriction of these species to the sand deposits of northwestern Ohio, their localized distribution in scattered, non-contiguous blow- outs, and habitat loss presently occurring from residential and commercial development nearby, are justifications provided for the formal state listing and conservation of these Orthoptera in Ohio
