Menetelmä violetin värivirheen poistoon valokuvista

Tiivistelmä. Violetti värivirhe on valokuvissa näkyvää virhettä, joka johtuu kameran ja linssin ominaisuuksista. Värivirheen määrää voidaan pienentää hankkimalla kalliimpia kameran komponentteja, mutta halvoissa laitteissa ei tämä ole vaihtoehto. Työssä tarkastellaan violetin värivirheen poistossa käytettyjä algoritmeja ja esitellään oma algoritmi. Oma algoritmi poistaa paremmin violettia testikuvasta kuin yksi esitetyistä algoritmeista, mutta ei paremmin kuin kaupallinen Adobe Lightroom. Työssä tehtiin myös kysely, jossa osallistujia pyydettiin vertaamaan, mikä algoritmeista on parempi. Tulokset olivat vaihtelevia, joka kertoo värivirheen poiston haasteista.A method for removing purple fringing from photographs. Abstract. Purple fringing is purple tinted color error which is caused by cameras and its lenses errors. The amount of color error can be lowered by using a more expensive camera components, but in cheap devices this is not an option. In this work purple fringe removal algorithms are examined, and own implementation introduced. The implementation removes purple fringing from test photo better than one of the introduced algorithms but not better than commercial Adobe Lightroom. A survey was also made where participant where asked to choose which algorithm is better. The results were varying which tells about the challenges of purple fringe removal
