Взаимопроникването на идеи, култура, икономики, суровини, политики и пр. водят до глобализация в съвременното общество. Тази тенденция е подпомагана и от нарастващите технологични иновации. Обществото все повече се обръща към дигиталните средства предоставящи бързи комуникации, достъп до информация и стоки през глобалната мрежа, особено необходими в условията на пандемия. По отношение на изкуството тези фактори допринасят за изместването на обсега от класическите изразни средства към съвременни форми на изкуството фокусирани върху дигиталните медии. В исторически план откриването на фотографията през XIX век променя радикално изкуството. То се освобождава от функцията да отразява обективната реалност и търси нови изразни средства и смисъл. През началото на XX век новите направления част от авангарда в изкуството се стремят да изобразяват нематериални неща далеч от видимата действителност като вътрешния свят на художника, емоции, символи, музика, време и др. Едно от най-ярките направления Кубизма е типичен пример. Той търси начин да покаже обектите рационално от няколко страни едновременно - триизмерни, но за съжаление е ограничен от изразните средства - двуизмерната повърхност на платното. Дигиталните технологии днес имат решение на този проблем. Те предоставят дигитални средства, които напълно променят изкуството. Платното вече не съществува по познатия ни начин, с които работи художникът. То постепенно се превръща в история. С появата на VR- очилата границите на видимата реалност и въображението в изкуството са премахнати за да се влезе в един нов виртуален свят. Технологията Tilt Brush отива още една стъпка напред, предоставяйки възможност на художника да създава 3д изображения с четка в ръка до като се движи във виртуалния свят, които създава. Платно не съществува, това е един виртуален дигитален свят триизмерен произлизащ от въображението на художника и съществуващ единствено през погледа на "розовите" очила VR. Society is increasingly turning to digital tools to provide fast communications, access to information and goods through the global network, especially needed during the pandemic. In terms of art, these factors contribute to shifting the range from classical means of expression to contemporary art forms focused on digital media. Historically, the discovery of photography in the 19th century radically changed art. Painting frees itself from the function of reflecting objective reality and seeks new means of expression and meaning. In the early 20th century, new trends in the avant-garde art seek to depict intangible things away from visible reality such as the inner world of the artist, emotions, symbols, music, time and more. One of the brightest trends - Cubism is a typical example. It seeks a way to show objects rationally from several sides simultaneously - three-dimensional, but unfortunately it is limited by the means of expression - the two-dimensional surface of the canvas. Digital technologies today have a solution to this problem. They provide digital tools that completely change painting. The canvas no longer exists in the familiar way in which the artist works. It is becoming history. With the invention of VR glasses, the boundaries of visible reality and imagination in art have been removed to enter a new virtual world. Tilt Brush technology goes one step further, giving the opportunity to the artist to create 3D images with a brush in hand while moving in the virtual world he creates. Canvas doesn’t exist, it is a virtual digital world three-dimensional arising from the imagination of the artist and existing only through the eyes of the pink VR glasses. Explainable AI in medical imaging:An overview for clinical practitioners - Saliency-based XAI approaches

Since recent achievements of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have proven significant success and promising results throughout many fields of application during the last decade, AI has also become an essential part of medical research. The improving data availability, coupled with advances in high-performance computing and innovative algorithms, has increased AI's potential in various aspects. Because AI rapidly reshapes research and promotes the development of personalized clinical care, alongside its implementation arises an urgent need for a deep understanding of its inner workings, especially in high-stake domains. However, such systems can be highly complex and opaque, limiting the possibility of an immediate understanding of the system's decisions. Regarding the medical field, a high impact is attributed to these decisions as physicians and patients can only fully trust AI systems when reasonably communicating the origin of their results, simultaneously enabling the identification of errors and biases. Explainable AI (XAI), becoming an increasingly important field of research in recent years, promotes the formulation of explainability methods and provides a rationale allowing users to comprehend the results generated by AI systems. In this paper, we investigate the application of XAI in medical imaging, addressing a broad audience, especially healthcare professionals. The content focuses on definitions and taxonomies, standard methods and approaches, advantages, limitations, and examples representing the current state of research regarding XAI in medical imaging. This paper focuses on saliency-based XAI methods, where the explanation can be provided directly on the input data (image) and which naturally are of special importance in medical imaging.</p

С появата и разпространението на дигиталните технологии, устройства и средства в средата на ХХ век, настъпват драматични промени във всички сфери на живота. Изменя се информационно комуникационната среда и настъпва епохата на новите медии. Дигиталните технологии и глобалната мрежа оказват фундаментално влияние върху културата, традициите и изкуството. В този контекст по отношение на визуалното изкуство дигиталните технологии дават възможност за поява на нови художествени практики, които заемат своето място до класическите изобразителни дейности. Водеща става идеята, че дигиталната технология не е просто инструмент, а по скоро процес за създаване. По този начин се поставя фокус върху концепцията инспирирана от цифровия контекст, а не върху изразните средства. В съвременността визуалното изкуство и научните постижения живеят в хармония.With the advent and dissemination of digital technologies, devices and means in the middle of the twentieth century, dramatic changes occurred in all spheres of life. The data reporting environment is changing and the era of new media is approaching. Digital technologies and the global network have a fundamental impact on culture, traditions and art. In this context, in terms of visual art, digital technologies allow for the emergence of new artistic practices that take their place next to classical art activities. Leading the way is the idea that digital technology is not just a tool, but rather a creation process, thus focusing on the concept inspired by the digital context rather than on the means expressed.
