Using Software Metrics in the Evaluation of a Conceptual Component Model
International audienceEvery interactive system has a functional part and an interactive part. However the software engineering and the human-computer-interaction communities work separately in terms of methods, models and tools, which induces a work overhead for integrating the results of these efforts, as well as increased inconsistency risks. We endeavour to treat this problem by proposing a design method, which couples the functional kernel and the interaction design. In particular, this method proposes a specific way of structuring the interaction and the business spaces. The structure is based on components called Symphony Objects. In this article, we attempt to evaluate the technical aspect of a Symphony Object model issued from the method by measuring its implementations with software metrics

A Web Based Optimization System Using Goal Programming for Supply Chain Network
Considering high competitive nature of todays industries,being on plan is very vital for supply chain network of an organization. Allthe flows of materials from initial suppliers to final customers need to besmooth. Hence, distribution network design is an important strategic decisionproblem for the supply chain managers. The aim of this research is to propose a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) foroptimizing fuzzy distribution network in the context of supply-chain management. A fuzzy goal-programming model has been designedfor the proposed DSS to consider the uncertain and imprecise data. Thisresearch focuses on four conflict fuzzy goals of (i). all demands must be covered by distribution center, (ii).investment goals for opening new sites considering fix costs, (iii). Investmentgoals for opening new distribution centers considering fix costs, (iv). Supplycosts goals, to meet the optimized results. Hence with those attributes ofmembership function of goals, the decision makers can apply this model toobtain the investment policy and the achieved level of each individual goal
An Ontology-Based Method for Semantic Integration of Business Components
Building new business information systems from reusable components is today
an approach widely adopted and used. Using this approach in analysis and design
phases presents a great interest and requires the use of a particular class of
components called Business Components (BC). Business Components are today
developed by several manufacturers and are available in many repositories.
However, reusing and integrating them in a new Information System requires
detection and resolution of semantic conflicts. Moreover, most of integration
and semantic conflict resolution systems rely on ontology alignment methods
based on domain ontology. This work is positioned at the intersection of two
research areas: Integration of reusable Business Components and alignment of
ontologies for semantic conflict resolution. Our contribution concerns both the
proposal of a BC integration solution based on ontologies alignment and a
