Acompañamiento y evaluación de labores de campo y su incidencia en la calidad poscosecha del cultivo de banano (Musa AAA Simmonds).

The business practice was carried out at Group Santamaria S.A. Company dedicated to the production and marketing of export-type bananas, located in the municipality of Apartadó, Antioquia. In which a series of activities were developed, including; supervise the different field tasks, with emphasis on the bagging of the bunches, carry out follow-ups on the topping, planting counts, develop training and carry out waste analysis in the process of cutting and packing banana fruit. The main objective was to supervise and evaluate the cultural work carried out in banana cultivation (Musa AAA. Simmonds). According to the programming of the technical assistance department, the farms to be visited were assigned. Finding in these visits quite important findings since multiple opportunities for improvement in the quality of work were evident, some operators with instructions outside the company instructions and some inconsistencies at the company level. These findings were shared with the technical assistants and the determination was made to make adjustments to the evaluation formats, seeking to be more effective and to modify the periodicity of the field visits. Showing a positive impact on the quality of the field work, such as the removal work, which went from a general average of 94% quality to 98%, also highlighting the bagging and instruction work since the group historically It was presenting latex stain, burning of the bag, mechanical damage and unpacked bunches, all these factors affecting the appearance of the fruit and detracting from its commercial value. En la cual se desarrollaron una serie de actividades entre las que se incluyen; supervisar las distintas labores de campo, con énfasis en el embolse de los racimos, realizar seguimientos en el desmache, conteos de plantación, desarrollar capacitaciones y realizar análisis de desperdicios en el proceso de corte y empaque de fruta de banano. Como objetivo principal se planteó Supervisar y evaluar las labores culturales realizadas en el cultivo de banano (Musa AAA. Simmonds). De acuerdo a la programación del departamento de asistencia técnica eran asignadas las fincas a visitar. Encontrando en estas visitas hallazgos bastante importantes ya que se evidenciaron múltiples oportunidades de mejora en la calidad de las labores, algunos operarios con instrucciones por fuera del instructivo de la compañía y algunas inconsistencias a nivel de empresa. Estos hallazgos se socializaban con los asistentes técnicos y se tomaron determinaciones como hacer ajustes en los formatos de evaluaciones, buscando ser más eficaces y modificar la periodicidad de las visitas a campo. Mostrándose un impacto positivo en la calidad de las labores de campo, tales como la labor de desmache la cual pasó de un promedio general de 93% de calidad a un 97%, destacando también la labor de embolse e instrucción de desdede que históricamente el grupo venia presentando mancha de látex, quema de bolsa, daños mecánicos y racimos sin embolsar, todos estos factores afectando la apariencia de la fruta y demeritando su valor comercial. Pasando a evidenciar un mejor aspecto en la fruta procesada en la planta empacadora, evidenciándose el gran impacto en los indicadores de productividad que genera la constante y correcta ejecución de las labores de campo.PregradoIngeniero(a) Agronómico(a
