In this paper, a new factorization of discrete nonlinear systems is presented. This factorization is based on the star product, an operation corresponding to the linear connection of systems. A relevant algorithm is developed, based on a theoretical background. Finally, some applications to system analysis, BIBO stability, and feedback design are provided. © 2000 IEEE
