Web Site Personalization based on Link Analysis and Navigational Patterns

    Get PDF
The continuous growth in the size and use of the World Wide Web imposes new methods of design and development of on-line information services. The need for predicting the users’ needs in order to improve the usability and user retention of a web site is more than evident and can be addressed by personalizing it. Recommendation algorithms aim at proposing “next” pages to users based on their current visit and the past users’ navigational patterns. In the vast majority of related algorithms, however, only the usage data are used to produce recommendations, disregarding the structural properties of the web graph. Thus important – in terms of PageRank authority score – pages may be underrated. In this work we present UPR, a PageRank-style algorithm which combines usage data and link analysis techniques for assigning probabilities to the web pages based on their importance in the web site’s navigational graph. We propose the application of a localized version of UPR (l-UPR) to personalized navigational sub-graphs for online web page ranking and recommendation. Moreover, we propose a hybrid probabilistic predictive model based on Markov models and link analysis for assigning prior probabilities in a hybrid probabilistic model. We prove, through experimentation, that this approach results in more objective and representative predictions than the ones produced from the pure usage-based approaches

This research presents a study to handle the recruitment services system. It aims to enhance a business intelligence system by embedding data mining in its core engine and to facilitate the link between job searchers and recruiters companies. The purpose of this study is to present an intelligent management system for supporting recruitment services based on data mining methods. It consists to apply segmentation on the extracted job postings offered by the different recruiters. The details of the job postings are associated to a set of relevant features that are extracted from the web and which are based on critical criterion in order to define consistent clusters. Thereafter, we assign the job searchers to the best cluster while providing a ranking according to the job postings of the selected cluster. The performance of the proposed model used is analyzed, based on a real case study, with the clustered job postings dataset and classified job searchers dataset by using some metrics

Recommender system provides the significant suggestion towards the effective service offers for the vast range of big data. The Internet of Things (IoT) environment exhibits the value added application services to the customer with the provision of the effective collection and processing of information. In the extension of the IoT, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is evolved for the patient healthcare monitoring and processing. The data collected from the IoMT are stored and processed with the cognitive system for the data transmission between the users. However, in the conventional system subjected to challenges of processing big data while transmission with the cognitive radio network. In this paper, developed a effective cognitive 5G communication model with the recommender model for the IoMT big data processing. The proposed model is termed as Ranking Strategy Internet of Medical Things (RSIoMT). The proposed RSIoMT model uses the distance vector estimation between the feature variables with the ranking. The proposed RSIoMT model perform the recommender model with the ranking those are matches with the communication devices for improved wireless communication quality. The proposed system recommender model uses the estimation of direct communication link between the IoMT variables in the cognitive radio system. The proposed RSIoMT model evaluates the collected IoMT model data with the consideration of the four different healthcare datasets for the data transmission through cognitive radio network. Through the developed model the performance of the system is evaluated based on the deep learning model with the consideration of the collaborative features. The simulation analysis is comparatively examined based on the consideration of the wireless performance. Simulation analysis expressed that the proposed RSIoMT model exhibits the superior performance than the conventional classifier. The comparative analysis expressed that the proposed mode exhibits ~3 – 4% performance improvement over the conventional classifiers. The accuracy of the  developed model achieves 99% which is ~3 – 9% higher than the conventional classifier. In terms of the channel performance, the proposed RSIoMT model exhibits the reduced recommender relay selection count of 1 while the other technique achieves the relay value of 13 which implies that proposed model performance is ~4-6% higher than the other techniques

Efficient and Secure 5G Core Network Slice Provisioning Based on VIKOR Approach

Network slicing in 5G is expected to essentially change the way in which network operators deploy and manage vertical services with different performance requirements. Efficient and secure slice provisioning algorithms are important since network slices share the limited resources of the physical network. In this article, we first analyze the security issues in network slicing and formulate an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) model for secure 5G core network slice provisioning. Then, we propose a heuristic 5G core network slice provisioning algorithm called VIKOR-CNSP based on VIKOR, which is a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method. In the slice node provisioning stage, the node importance is ranked with the VIKOR approach by considering the node resource and topology attributes. The slice nodes are then provisioned according to the ranking results. In the slice link provisioning stage, the k shortest path algorithm is implemented to obtain the candidate physical paths for the slice link, and a strategy for selecting a candidate physical path is proposed to increase the slice acceptance ratio. The strategy first calculates the path factor P which is the product of the maximum link bandwidth utilization of the candidate physical path and its hop-count, and then chooses the candidate physical path with the smallest P to host the slice link. Extensive simulations show that the proposed algorithm can achieve the highest slice acceptance ratio and the largest provisioning revenue-to-cost ratio, satisfying the security constraints of 5G core network slice requests. f

An integrated ranking algorithm for efficient information computing in social networks

Social networks have ensured the expanding disproportion between the face of WWW stored traditionally in search engine repositories and the actual ever changing face of Web. Exponential growth of web users and the ease with which they can upload contents on web highlights the need of content controls on material published on the web. As definition of search is changing, socially-enhanced interactive search methodologies are the need of the hour. Ranking is pivotal for efficient web search as the search performance mainly depends upon the ranking results. In this paper new integrated ranking model based on fused rank of web object based on popularity factor earned over only valid interlinks from multiple social forums is proposed. This model identifies relationships between web objects in separate social networks based on the object inheritance graph. Experimental study indicates the effectiveness of proposed Fusion based ranking algorithm in terms of better search results.Comment: 14 pages, International Journal on Web Service Computing (IJWSC), Vol.3, No.1, March 201
