A Flexible Fragile Watermarking Scheme for Binary Images with Reversibility

    No full text
[[abstract]]In this paper, we propose a fragile watermarking scheme for binary images with reversibility. Our scheme not only can extract the embedded watermark to authenticate the integrity of host image but also can recover the host image from the watermarked image. Furthermore, the scheme adopts adjustable block size and thresholds to control image quality and embedding capacity. Moreover, the cipher block chaining model (CBC) is applied to achieve fragile property for detection of any alteration. Experimental results show that high image quality requires a low threshold value and a large image block size, while high embedding capacity requires a large threshold and a small block size. The scheme achieves the goals of fragile watermarking and further provides the properties of reversibility and adjustability
