Neighbour coverage: a dynamic probabilistic route discovery for mobile ad hoc networks
Blind flooding is extensively use in ad hoc routing protocols for on-demand route discovery, where a mobile node blindly rebroadcasts received route request (RREQ) packets until a route to a particular destination is established. This can potentially lead to high channel contention, causing redundant retransmissions and thus excessive packet collisions in the network. Such a phenomenon induces what is known as broadcast storm problem, which has been shown to greatly increase the network communication overhead and end-to-end delay. In this paper, we show that the deleterious impact of such a problem can be reduced if measures are taken during the dissemination of RREQ packets. We propose a generic probabilistic method for route discovery, that is simple to implement and can significantly reduce the overhead associated with the dissemination of RREQs. Our analysis reveals that equipping AODV with probabilistic route discovery can result in significant reduction of routing control overhead while achieving good throughput

Unsupervised Machine Learning based Energy Efficient Routing for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks
Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are temporary networks formed by a group of mobile hosts without the need for centralized administration or specific support services. Energy consumption is a critical issue in MANETs due to their reliance on limited battery resources. Reducing energy consumption is crucial for increasing network lifespan and throughput. Existing energy-saving techniques often fall short in their effectiveness. This research proposes a novel approach that combines a proactive MANET routing protocol with an energy-efficient strategy to address these limitations. The proposed solution considers both node mobility and energy levels in the routing process. Traditional AODV routing relies on flooding, which broadcasts RREQ packets to all nodes within the sender's range. This often leads to unnecessary retransmissions of RREQ and RREP packets, resulting in collisions and network congestion. To overcome this issue, we propose an optimized route discovery mechanism for AODV. The key idea is to leverage the K-means clustering algorithm to select the optimal cluster of nodes to forward RREQ packets instead of relying on broadcasting. This approach aims to alleviate network congestion and reduce end-to-end delay by minimizing unnecessary control packet transmissions

Mengenal pasti masalah pemahaman dan hubungannya dengan latar belakang matematik, gaya pembelajaran, motivasi dan minat pelajar terhadap bab pengawalan kos makanan di Sekolah Menengah Teknik (ert) Rembau: satu kajian kes.
Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji hubungan korelasi antara latar belakang Matematik, gaya pembelajaran, motivasi dan minat dengan pemahaman pelajar terhadap bab tersebut. Responden adalah seramai 30 orang iaitu terdiri daripada pelajar tingkatan lima kursus Katering, Sekolah Menengah Teknik (ERT) Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. Instrumen kajian adalah soal selidik dan semua data dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS versi 10.0 untuk mendapatkan nilai min dan nilai korelasi bagi memenuhi objektif yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa hubungan korelasi antara gaya pembelajaran pelajar terhadap pemahaman pelajar adalah kuat. Manakala hubungan korelasi antara latar belakang Matematik, motivasi dan minat terhadap pemahaman pelajar adalah sederhana. Nilai tahap min bagi masalah pemahaman pelajar, latar belakang Matematik, gaya pembelajaran, motivasi dan minat terhadap bab Pengawalan Kos Makanan adalah sederhana. Kajian ini mencadangkan penghasilan satu Modul Pembelajaran Kendiri bagi bab Pengawalan Kos Makanan untuk membantu pelajar kursus Katering dalam proses pembelajaran mereka

Mobile Ad hoc protocol that also could be implemented in VANET protocols is presented. In the literature, there are numerous mobile Ad hoc networks (MANET) routing protocols aiming to find the most suitable path from source to destination. Therefore these protocols should be categorized and classified. This classification helps in understanding, analyzing, comparing, and evaluating the routing protocols. Also, the classification can assist researchers and designers to differentiate the characteristics of the routing protocols and to find the relationships between them. Neighbourhood-aware counter-based broadcast scheme for wireless ad hoc networks
Broadcasting is a vital operation in mobile ad hoc

Clustering and Hybrid Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
This dissertation focuses on clustering and hybrid routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET). Specifically, we study two different network-layer virtual infrastructures proposed for MANET: the explicit cluster infrastructure and the implicit zone infrastructure. In the first part of the dissertation, we propose a novel clustering scheme based on a number of properties of diameter-2 graphs to provide a general-purpose virtual infrastructure for MANET. Compared to virtual infrastructures with central nodes, our virtual infrastructure is more symmetric and stable, but still light-weight. In our clustering scheme, cluster initialization naturally blends into cluster maintenance, showing the unity between these two operations. We call our algorithm tree-based since cluster merge and split operations are performed based on a spanning tree maintained at some specific nodes. Extensive simulation results have shown the effectiveness of our clustering scheme when compared to other schemes proposed in the literature. In the second part of the dissertation, we propose TZRP (Two-Zone Routing Protocol) as a hybrid routing framework that can balance the tradeoffs between pure proactive, fuzzy proactive, and reactive routing approaches more effectively in a wide range of network conditions. In TZRP, each node maintains two zones: a Crisp Zone for proactive routing and efficient bordercasting, and a Fuzzy Zone for heuristic routing using imprecise locality information. The perimeter of the Crisp Zone is the boundary between pure proactive routing and fuzzy proactive routing, and the perimeter of the Fuzzy Zone is the boundary between proactive routing and reactive routing. By adjusting the sizes of these two zones, a reduced total routing control overhead can be achieved
